Beautiful beach, and a relaxing atmosphere with plenty of locals enjoying the sand and sun. I loved the music, and the water was pretty and clear. Keep in mind, this is not like a resort, its more of a local gem, somewhere to go to to relax and take in the culture. We ate @ Prendys, the food and service... More

Hellshire Beach is a 15-20min drive from my families home, so this was the beach of choice only because of it's location. The most appealing thing about this beach is the lack of tourists. Upon arrival the hecklers approached our car with a passive aggressive tone - almost insisting you park where they say and that you follow them to... More

My boyfriend is from Kingston and he brought me to his motherland for my first time. We headed to Hellshire Beach for some food and fun. I was very hesitant to eat fish with the head on it, but once I tried it, I was in love. While the beach isn't anything to special, the environment is. All the locals... More

This was my first experience in Kingston and I'm glad I decided to visit Hellshire Beach. The Food is amazing - fish and festival - the sand is smooth (feels imported) and the water is clear.

The fried fish, grilled lobster, festival and bammy was Perfect!! Went to Prendy's this time, Merl is just as reliable. Next time I will pre-order, pick-up and eat at home. The beach held no appeal at all: WAAAAY too much noise (loud Tumpin' music) and garbage for my soul to be refreshed.

I'm wondering if we ended up at the wrong beach after reading all the wonderful reviews of Hellshire beach. We went on a Sunday afternoon with our 3 teenagers and we were all looking forward to it. As soon as we parked the car a guy came over and told us he would be looking after us for the day.... More

Man oh man. There are few places, that can make fried fish with bammy and festival like they can on Hellshire beach. It is very local, but the food makes it an awesome experience.

So I am not sure what happened on the days those who went wrote a bad review BUT LOVE THIS PLACE. The water is CRYSTAL GREEN/BLUE, the food is soooo good and the overall beach is very clean. I go to Jamaica once every year and I ALWAYS make a stop here! The seating area are also clean and spacious,... More
