Although it has it's challenges, there is still a great time to be had at Hellshire Beach! While it's not the prettiest beach in Jamaica, the characters you meet on the beach is very entertaining! Mainly a beach utilized by locals, Hellshire is very relaxing, with tiki huts and wooden lounge chairs great for chillin with a Red Stripe. Yes,... More

The best ever holidays I have ever had. This place offers loads of real time fun i.e. Fresh Fish, Coral Blue Beaches and loads of sunshine. I had the best Self catering accommodation near the Hellshire beach. We stayed there for almost 2 weeks and we enjoyed our holidays to the maximum. We would recommend you to visit Hellshire beach,... I have been going to Hellshire for years. It's the beach everybody in Kingston goes to. On the weekends they have music playing, you can get the best fresh fish caught by the fisherman and fried festival, just delicious. The beach however, definitely needs a clean up. On our last visit there were 2 broken wine bottles in the ocean.... More

I'm a born Jamaican but became a Resident of the USA. On November 23 2012 I went to Hellhsire Beach to have a good meal. I took a female friend along with me. We ordered 2 fishes, festivals, Bannies and 2 beers. I must say The food was good. Now its time to pay the bill. I asked the Gentleman... More

I have been to Hellshire Beach on several occassions, and I like it. The local people are wonderful. The hotel next to it is good. I am looking forward to visiting soon. Love the sun, people, and beach there.

My family and some cousins took a short afternoon trip to this beach since it was close to Kingston where we were staying. The surroundings is not the greatest, definitely not a resort-like feel, but definitely an in-tune with the locals type of feel. Parking was hard to find since there is one way in and out and there are... More

Too much sea weed in the water. Wish it was cleaner along the shoreline. Lovely atmosphere. The food was great.

You never appreciate what you have until you have to wait six month to eat simple delectable fried food. Hellshire Beach is paradise when it comes to "beach cuisine". The best time to go is early on a Saturday morning before the beach is full. Make your way to "Mampie's", at the far left of the beach. Her sheltered beach... More

This was definitely a great way to spend our Easter Sunday in Jamaica. It is a bit crazy in that the parking situation is nuts and quite crowded. However for a local feel this is the place to go especially if in Kingston on a brief trip. Lots of families, couples, friends and even tourists like ourselves out and about.... More
