I have been to Jamaica three times and visited the falls for the first time last week! Amazing experience, awesome guides and great jerk chicken lunch. Will never forget it, can't wait to go back someday!!!!

Fantastic guides made the "Full immersion" trip was amazing. Guides Shawn and Cameroon were fantastic! Also worthwhile to pay for the photographer unless you bring a water proof camera (Negotiate for the CD price) Good local food but CC doesn't work when its overcast (frequently) So bring cash.

Less touristy than Dunn river, you get to see the real Jamaican countryside. Guides know every inch of the river and they don't make you hold hands. Our guide Dave was especially helpful and very entertaining. Our whole group had a great time! This is one attraction I would do again.

I have gone to Jamaica several times but can honestly say that my experience at Mayfield was by far one of the highlights...I used the touring company TourXamayca and was utterly surprised and pleased...Not only were they professional, but they accommodated me regarding lunch after my waterfall experience at Mayfield Falls as well as libations afer..Trust me ..you will need... We have been to Jamaica twice in the past 4 months and experienced Mayfield Falls each time. The first time it was highly recommended by friends we met at our resort. So we hired Carlton Smith , driver/tour guide, of Irie Routes Jamaican tours to be our Main Man for the day. (We hired Carlton both times. He will make... More

At first we were going to visit dunns falls but mayfield was recommended since we didn't want a tourist feel. We had a personal driver (Sid) through our hotel Secrets St James. He was wonderful! We took the long way and received a great tour of the countryside. The roads are narrow and windy and can be bumpy....So if yours... More

This one is a diamond in the rough. It is still not commercialized so no artificial stones or man made culverts. The guides are way to overly protecting. Telling you where to step and where to go and what to expect. But I asked them to let me be and from that point it was heaven. I could climb on... More

Even if you don't traverse the falls, the drive there was breathtaking! We hired a driver who took us there and watched our stuff when we were in the falls. We had 6, 50+ People in our group, one with a bad knee. At the falls we were given a guide, a guy taking pictures and our friend with a... More

We did it as a group (Taekwon-Do team taking well deserved time off after the World Cup competition held in Montego Bay). We chose this venue over the Dunn's river falls, which I heard was a way commercialised, crowded with very aggressive local traders on the way. The falls and the climb may be not as grand as at Dunn's... More

It was just us and the guide, O'Brien. He was awesome! Very knowledgeable about the local plants, loved to show off and jump in, and very relaxed. We took a long time exploring - 2 tour groups passed us! The food was phenomenal too. Was offered trinkets on our way in (adults only) but didn't purchase. Wasn't pushed on us... More
