I am sure that if you want to see some of the back country Jamaica, this is one of the best. We went with Wayne of Wayne's tours, 876 310 4991. He was great. You need to know that if you are elderly or frail, you will be expected to walk in the streams and falls and you will get... More

We took our teenage kids to Mayfield Falls and everyone had a great time! The water was a bit cool but once you were in for a while it felt great. Wear water shoes or old runners. The swim through the tunnel was very cool. We even convinced Mom to jump off the tree into the pool! The washer and... More

Mayfield Falls is way off the beaten path - about an hour from Negril, but it is worth the trip if you are up for wet rocky hike. The trip out does let you see some of the Jamaican countryside, but it's a curvy often rough road - so those with motion sickness be warned. All the comments about the... More

We went to visit Mayfield in march 2014. Our apply vacation rep suggested we go here over Dunn's because it is not commercialized. While traveling to mayfield, you get to see less developed parts of Jamaica which is both sad and interesting. Also, the roads are bumpy and winding so I did get a little car sick. The people at... First a warning. You must be comfortable walking in water on rocks. The rocks aren't too slippery but they can be rough on knees if you have trouble. Also, most of the "changing rooms" don't lock so you may have to change with your significant other so one can hold the door closed. Having said all of that, we had... More

Came here on my hotel's recommendation (Travellers Beach Resort), and they were right. It was a perfect change of pace on my honeymoon after days of lounging around. Went with one other couple. Chose this because Dunn's River Falls while fun is a bit of a tourist trap. Good: -Off the beaten path, secluded area -Our guide was informed spoke... More

We stayed in Montego Bay for Spring Break and upon asking one of the hotel employees the #1 excursion we shouldn't miss, they recommended Mayfield Falls - I hadn't heard of it, so glad they mentioned it. It was WAY better than Dunn's River Falls (my husband and I had visited that many years ago) - serene, not crowded, beautiful.... More

This Is Jamaica – a brilliant tour company based in Kingston, Jamaica, were able to take me on a day’s nature tour which included the beautifully tranquil Mayfield Falls, set in the parish of Westmoreland on the western side of the island. We were handed over to our private tour guide, Nico, who fitted me with water shoes, before I... More

We went on a group excursion from our resort in negril. The people here were so friendly. You hike up the river with guides who show you exactly were to step so you don't fall. You must wear water shoes for this. There were 4 guides for our group and they were all very entertaining . They held onto your... More

We went to Mayfield Falls with Tropical Tours recommended by Gabriella, staff from FireFly hotel, Negril. She advised us that the company is well established and that the waterfalls are not far away compared to other landmark and we decided to give it a chance. First of all - it was a great trip by itself, allowing us to enjoy... More
