This is a great spot if you would like to take in all the attractions, it is so close to Ocho Rious & all the resorts offer transport into the town for shopping, ours ( Jewel Runaway Bay) offered a shopping trip for about 4 hours , just bus in & a bus back for $15 per head. The beachs... More

We visited a family member who owns a home in a gated Community called Richmond Estates, then we went to the beach, I do not remember the name, but it was a Private beach in Maamee Bay, very lovely place, we got to purchase live fresh seafood from the local fishermen, it was lovely thaw freshest you can ever get... The entire stay at the resort was a grand experience. Every morning, afternoon and evening was nothing less than enjoyable. The rooms were very neat, clean and impressive. The dining was very good to the taste. The beaches were not only fun and relaxing, but also romantic. The pools and swim-up bars were the best. Everything that is needed to help... More

We stayed in a resort in Runaway Bay (Luxury Gran Bahia) for a week in the beginning of September. Although the resort was beautiful, the ride from the airport to the resort made me think we were touring Baghdad. At least half of the buildings are only partially constructed with rebar extending from the top. I later found out from... More

Well. If it hadn't been your TripAdvisor encouraging message, I wouldn't have started again. But, as long as you want to know where else I've travelled this year. . . Until now . . . Easter vacation in Jamaica! The Runaway Bay! Long time planned!!! Unfortunately, I was unlucky. Got the short end of the stick. Wrong resort, wrong hotel,... More

Kevin (kevintaxiservice@gmail.com) was recommended to us by the resort to take us on a day trip. His cab was clean and ice cold. We left from Bahia Principe and went to Dunns River Falls, shopping in Ocho Rios, a trip up Fern Gulley (in the Rain Forest) and went for some jerk chicken at Scotchies. We had a fabulous day... We stayed in a Beautiful villa in July of 2013 in Runaway Bay. The only person who made us feel at home was the Butler, who was friendly and was interested in us being happy and comfortable. The impression I got from most others in the area is that we are there to bring them free money. The rest of... More

We found Moodie from a Canadian that has hired him for years. Super nice and trustworthy. Took us to grotto caves, dunns river, Ochoa rios and shimmering waters in 1 day. I would highly recommend.

I was absolutely fortunate enough to stay with a friends mom in St Annes Parish, so we were up in mountains in the Retirement District. We would take Robot Taxis to Browns Town, I loved it very much, its the most amazing experience for someone who has never travelled. We ate at the Mango Restaurant and that was great food,... More
