Wow. This place had it all. The house was stunning. The tour guide was passionate about it and that made the experience more enjoyable. The slave quarters and auction house were moving and the history fascinating. Check out the water wheel. There are all sorts of action adventure tours available within the grounds. You couldn't do everything in one day.

While on a cruise port at Falmouth Jamaica, we spent a wonderful afternoon here. Our excursion included a tour of the home, a horse and carriage ride, a rum tasting at Appleton Rum, and the bird aviary. Buses leave the estate to the ship at various times. Other activities available here are a zipline, ATV safari drives, river tubing, high... More

We visited the Plantation house and took the horse drawn carriage tour. The tour guide at the house was very well informed on the history of the house. The house itself is quite impressive and is a nice glimpse back in time. The house and grounds are well preserved and it was a very enjoyable tour. The carriage ride was... More

I recently spent a fascinating afternoon at this restored plantation-yet could have filled a whole day there. The location is second to none, with stunning views of the islands mountainous interior from the beautiful plantation house, which is kept in immaculate condition. Down the hill from the house are a variety of diversions, such as a resident potter, a rum... More

My wife and I took a tour of Good Hope Plantation while in Jamaica for a cruise stop. It was a very interesting view of this island's history. Part of the tour was in a "safari truck" but due to lack of room we sat in the cab with the driver. He gave us a personal running commentary of the... More

This plantation is located in central Jamaica, high in the hills that make up the spine of the island. When you look out over the trees and bushes with the mountains in the background, it seems like you could be almost anywhere:Africa, Asia, or South America-certainly not a Caribbean Island. The tour of the house and grounds iis interesting, as... More

Just came back from "Oasis of the Seas" cruise which stopped at Falmouth, Jamaica. Would highly recommend getting away from typical port call vendors and journey inland to historic plantation. Tour of house was given by very knowledgeable guide. We enjoyed "High Tea" on the back patio. many choices of locally made tea and good food that included pesto sandwiches... More

Chose this excursion from my cruise ship Oasis of the Seas. Fantastic choice and excellent value. The Jamaican guides were wonderful happy and enthusiastic people and their knowledge very good. Besides the educational aspect of the tour the views are phenomenal and the additional activity tours to the same estate looked really good. Highly recommended

In terms of bang for the buck, I recommend this excursion, which was informative with beautiful vistas, and ended with the best hush puppy I have ever eaten. All guides were informative, funny and professional. If restrooms are important to you, the one at the sugar mill site was spotless. . The view on top of the hill from the... More
