This is a fascinating journey back to the "golden age" of colonialism which, by the looks of things, was the heyday for most Caribbean islands. The grounds are beautiful and the house is well preserved. Our guide was excellent and friendly.

Beautiful old home on the Good Hope Plantation. In need of upkeep but worth the trip for the history of beauty of what it used to be.

The good hope estate was one of our families favorites. You have to take a tour of one of the most preserved plantation homes In all of Jamaica. It was built in the mid 1700's and much of the building is original. The house and estate are great, but the views of Jamaica's landscape from the estate are incredible! The... More

My wife and I went on a tour and high tea excursion to Good Hope. The plantation is beautiful. The guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the plantation, all of its owners, the construction, furniture and everything about the area. She also was able to discuss Jamaica's economy and how the crops grown on the plantation fit in... More

Did the house tour with jerk chicken lunch and really enjoyed myself. The grounds are stunning. Riding around and seeing the old water wheel, kiln sugar factory and more was great. The house was stunning. The view=great. I learned that quite a list of movies were filmed here. Interior of the house is gorgeous. Our guide Danny was great. Friendly... More

First of all let me start by stating that we were on an excursion from a cruise ship that had docked nearby. The overview on the excursion promised zip lining, water rafting and a tour of the plantation. Let me commend all of the guides from the funniest bus driver to the zip line and water guides for being friendly,... More

This was a relaxing tour of a former sugar plantation overlooking a beautiful mountain view. The 'Jerk' chicken lunch was just the thing to complete this tour. My husband, myself and my father enjoyed this tour while our children did a Zip line tour. The bus driver who drove us to and from the cruise terminal was informative in regards... More

I visited Good Hope Great House on December 18 on a cruise ship excursion from Holland America. The road from Ocho Rios is very beautiful with views of various river flows, villages, goats, and towns. The road is very good until Falstaff, when it turns into what feels like a Jeep route in the Rockies. Beware if you have significant... More

We have just visited the Good Hope plantation this December 2014 booked through Chukka the Ultimate Thrill Seekers Adventure for $131/person. What a Joke! I am so disappointed in this place - It may offer a lot of adventures but the main reason we went was for the dunebuggy and zipling and that was for 12 year olds. First off... More
