part of our transat tour. Really enjoyed the boat ride through the mangrove on the Black River. Saw a few gators. Apparently it's better to go in full sun to see the gators. They come out in the sun. Would go again and recommend it to friends.

Only time I've ever seen gators in the wild! They were huge! Sunning themselves on the shore. Boat ride into the mangroves was beautiful and peaceful. Our guide hired a local fisherman to take us up river and then down river and out to sea to visit the Pelican Bar. Fantastic and scenic time!

Leaving Black River on Crane Road, after 2 miles +, you reach a 'roundabout' (somewhat like a semi-circle road division). Stay on what some call Crane Road (follows the beach), immediately after this round-about, you will see the Paradise Ocean View. Servers/waiters/waitresses are fantastic and the owners/managers are delightful. The food is mostly a Jamaican style but very, very good.... More

Going for the Black River Safari is the obvious choice. The boat ride takes +- one hour, the river itself is beautifull, the mangroove avenue is breath taking and you get to see some crocodiles. than there is a crocodile nursery, where you even get to hold a small crocodile. However there's more to it. BR is a great starting... More

The Black River Cruise is only one thing to do in this very cool Jamaican city w/distinct African "vibes." And if you leave BR w/o walking around for a bit, you'll miss a very real slice of Jamaican life. Put on your walking shoes and discover culture at its' finest. The street vendors sell all kinds of foods (patties, jerk,... More

They take you and a couple other couples on a pontoon boat down the longest river in Jamaica. There are crocodiles you can see which was pretty cool. None of them appear to be aggressive at all. They also have a Crocodile Nursery where they rescue some and place them until they can get them back into good health and... More

Boat took us down the river to see the crocodiles, some were along the banks of the river sunbathing with their mouth open to cool them off, great tour and can actually swim in parts of the river.

We did this a s part of a three attraction tour. Black River, YS Falls and the Appleton Estate. It was very peaceful on the Black River and we saw plenty of wildlife including a Crocodile
