The Citadel was very impressive, and easy to get to by car. Walking from the Palace takes a long time - be prepared. Unfortunately there was a lot of rubbish at the Citadel. If you’re a fitness freak then the hike up the hill really gets the heart pumping, the Citadelle obviously has a lot of history attached to it, and it’s a shame that it’s not managed better as the fort itself is full of rubbish. Very disappointing! More
