The beach is beautiful. The beach is nearly a "C"-shape and is picturesque. The water was very nice for swimming, but not much to see if you like to snorkel. There are several restaurants along the beach with food and drink runners. We didn't like that two guys approached us at the same time and nearly fought over who we... More

The beach is beautiful! It's a wide beach so the shade is pretty far from the water. What we liked least were that the vendors were pretty aggressive about getting your business. One actually confronted us and told us that he had spoken to us first and we should have bought our bottles of water from him rather than some... More

I'm not really a beach person, but this beach was nearly perfect. It was a $4 per person water taxi ride from the cruise ship to the beach. the sand is light, the water is somewhat mild and very clear. There are almond trees to park yourself under. I would recommend walking about 300 yards past where the taxi drops... More

On visiting Grenada my wife and I took the Island tour ending with a short stay at Grand Anse beach. With limited time we decided not to rent beach chairs but sat under a tree to enjoy the sun. I got a beer from a nearby bar and we were enjoying the scene. I then thought it would be nice... More

We went for the day while our cruise ship was in ... was TOTALLY packed and was stressful because people kept asking us if we wanted drinks, chairs, etc. BUT when we went back in March - non cruise day - the beach was desolate and looked beautiufl More

Great beach! Water taxi can be slow (and somewhat expensive for what you get) because pilot waits for it to fill before departing, but it is convenient to the cruise port. City bus from Ft. George is faster and only about $1. Vendors on the beach can be aggressive and annoying at first, but generally give up easily if you... More

This is the best beach I have ever been to! The water is very clear and there are hardly any waves. There is no seaweed or rocks in the water, just the occasional, very tiny pieces of coral. I felt very safe, as on one occasion, I went to the beach alone. There is a beach bar located on the... More

This is a nice beach with refreshing crystal blue waters. You will be approached non stop, but always politely and most vendors go away with a simple "no thank you" but some need further encouragement. Water taxi is reliable and takes about 20 minutes from the cruise port, so give yourself time. We might try a different beach next time. More

Four out of five because getting to and from the beach on the water taxi was a little lengthy due to having to wait for the boat to fill up before they would leave. The water taxi cost a total of $16 round trip for two and drops you off on the far right side of the beach (facing the... More

Our group of four decided to head to Grand Anse Beach on our stop in Grenada. We jumped on the water taxi by the cruise port and paid $8 round-trip each to be brought over to the beach for the day. Mike, our one-armed captain, was awesome and let us drive the boat. As soon as we stepped foot on... More
