Not a 'posh' attraction. It's a little off the beaten track, and a garden where you are guided by a well trained local who works in the garden will identify each of the herbs and spices and provide really interesting information about what each can be used for in both cooking and medicine. Great to see coco beans and how... More

Fort Frederick looks out from an elevated position above St George's and the main prison on the island. The views all round are spectacular, if you have already visited Fort George, you will recognise it far below across the harbour. You may also need waterproofs as the fort seems to spend much time covered in cloud (we visited Grenada during... More

You receive a short tour taking in the herbs/spices that shows the variety available and the uses and benefits of each. Cost is EC$5 per person. Found it very interesting and informative.

Lovely walk through tropical gardens with a knowledgeable guide who was able to talk about all the herbs, tropical fruits and spices growing in the garden.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, albeit slightly robotic, and the information she provided about the numerous herbs and plants was fascinating.

We had a tour of the Laura Herb and Spice Garden, and we thought it was one of the more interesting and informative tours during our stay in Grenada. Our guide had an excellent knowledge of the herbs and spices in the garden, and a nice easy going sense of humour, and she seemed to enjoy conversing in a bit... More

We visited here as part of a garden tour and thought it was quite nice. It is not a particularly long visit, but it was interesting to see all the herbs etc. and hear about their various properties.

When we arrived the guide was already showing a group around so we had a look around the garden by ourselves. It's small and did not take long without the guide's spiel. We asked if we could buy some spices which we did. This was interesting because we were told lots about the spices, their preparation and uses. Definitely worth... More

Laura's Herb and Spice Garden (named after Laura, the local village) is a little off the main bus routes but no more than 20 minutes walk away. The walk is quite interesting in itself, though. The garden itself is small but well laid out to make sure that visitors can see all the different plants and trees. The guide showing... More
