While we were in Grenada we took in the "Heritage Night" at the "Spice Basket". Call ahead and make reservations and they will pick you up. The night started with a tour of the museum, rum and chocolate tasting, steel drum concert, and singing and dancing. We were well informed on the history of Grenada. This is a must see while... More

Last night we went to "The Heritage Night" at the "Spice Basket " Which is held every Tuesday evening. I thought I must write a review to share this Gem and a must place to visit in Grenada, as I do not think many people know of it. It is a place the Grenadians are very proud of , and... More

My husband, daughter and son-in-law and I visited on a Tuesday night in January 2014 which was Heritage Night. We made reservations through our resort and were picked up by a bus and transported to The Spice Basket with people from other hotels in the area. We began with rum and chocolate tastings. Next we were given a guided tour... More

Excellent tour with a local flair. A fun evening out with um and chocolate tastings, a museum tour looking at the history of Cricket Book along with a traditional dinner and a live performance will end your evening. Book with Insight Tours @ the Rex. Ask for Charmaine

Dancing to the live band on a Friday night, fun! Finger food mainly , which can be sometimes greasy. Outdoor seating which is a problem when it rains, but the dancing continued and everyone enjoyed the rain and had an amazing time!

There is a huge amount of energy in the dancing and a couple of great singing voices in the show but it is slightly spoilt by the policially correct island history that forms the opening 10 minutes or so. The Spice Basket village is a government sponsored tourist sales point - nothing of interest unless you wish to top up... More

Not much to look at. Expected a lot more. The restaurant was not operational. There was only a bar available. From the name I expected to see some nutmeg trees or something of that sort. I must say that I spoke with an employee from the bar who gave me good advice.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I heard we were heading to Spice Basket. I was in for a surprise. It is located on a huge very beautifully landscaped property. We were taken on a tour of the museum. The museum has the largest Cricket Artifacts in the world. Well laid out and if you are a cricket aficionado,... More
