We had been to Grenada on a cruise a few years ago and agree with some of the other reviews that this is one of the more aggressive markets. It was the port I was least excited about - so I decided to change my outlook and book a snorkel excursion in the a.m. and then visit the market at... More

We arrived here on a Saturday morning about 10:30 AM. There are many vendors selling mainly spices. I bought spice necklaces to take home to my family. The prices vary. In the building part of the spice market there is a man named Dennis that sells dried sour sop leaves. Dennis sold me 2 bags of sour sop leaves and... More

This market is open every day of the week but is biggest on Fridays and Saturdays. There is a covered (indoor) section, selling mainly spices and tourist mementoes. I was lucky to find a watch repairer, who glued together a broken watch-strap for just 5 EC dollars. Most of the outdoor stalls sell the vegetables for which Grenada is famous.... More

This is something the natives do and like our local farmers markets there is alot of fresh produce and spices. They were very friendly there and we bought some cocoa and nutmeg. The downside is getting harrassed by people outside the market that wanted to sell you anything and everything. They were still on the friendly side, but you have... More
