Beautiful calm waters

Can rent lounge chair if desired and set up anywhere along the beach. There is a bar right on the beach but not very active. Sangria's Restaurant has excellent service and food.

Tranquility at its best is the one word to best describe Morne Rougue. Best beach on the island but once again this is personal preference. We prefer to relax on a beach where the scenery is picturesque, water is calm, the atmosphere is peaceful and not crowded with people or people selling products and this is what Morne Rougue offers.... The Morne Rouge beach is probably the most beautiful beach I have been to. The view from the hill as you are approaching it is just amazing! It is kept clean, occasionally it gets busy because of boats full of tourists arriving from St Georges. Just awesome!

I must say, Morne Rouge or BBC beach is a much better beach than Grand Anse, the water is more picturesque, calmer, and warmer than Grand Anse, and don't talk about privacy. It is a must visit when you travel to Grenada, it is not to far from Grand Anse beach, actually a stairs take you up to a road... More

Having had a all day tour in St. Lucia a day before, we just wanted a beach day. Thinking about going to another, closer, beach, our cab driver recommended this beach and we are so glad! We got chairs for free, as long as we frequented the bar/grill, which we did. Food and drinks were excellent. Beach was clean, not... More

People who are from Grenada also call this beach "BBC Beach" and it is a favorite for locals. It is calm, warm, not that deep and see through blue. There are several bars on the beach, but a favorite is Sur La Mer. Also, for those who like shade, there are several almond trees to duck under. There is also... More

As reading trip advisor reports, it Was just what we expected and enjoyed it immensely. The sun bed was $5 now and €5 dollars each in a shared taxi. We came back earlier than expected but they still only charged us $5 each return with only 2 of us. The beach was so relaxing and a must visit. Lovely safe... More

We were heavily pressured by the taxi folks to go to Grand Anse, but that's because that beach is so heavily commercialized. Morne rouge has a restaurant at one end and a bar at the other, but when we were there there was only one guy renting chairs and another selling baskets. Grand Anse has a steady stream of touts... Quiet beach...except for the weekends when its great to watch the locals come down and hang out and enjoy their island paradise. Not many tourists except for the people staying at Kalinago and Gem. Snorkeling is great. Head out to the bluffs right or left for some incredible fish...and maybe a ray or two. A little bit of trash does... More

Although it's not as popular as Grand Anse Beach, BBC Beach as it's locally named is a great place to have a quiet, worry free day. Calm water, white sand and an amazing view when it's sunset. It's also away from the hecklers that are trying to sell you all sorts of items. When you're there you can have the... More
