I gave the 4 star rating based on the Park itself not based on the tour we had as each tour company is different. We had a private tour set up for us and I was not thrilled as we didn't see as much as I wish we did and we didn't get much information as to what we were... More

Los Haitises National Park is unknown hidden gem of the Caribbean that is waiting to be explored. It is located on the remote northeast coast of the Dominican Republic and the south side of the Samana Bay. It is easily accessible by boat from the Samana Peninsula. There are Petroglyphs that are believed to be the artwork of the Taíno... More

A great little boat trip with visits to four caves of interest. The boat could have allowed more time for picture-taking around the bird sanctuary.

We were lucky having gone on a flat calm day and that makes a difference when your travelling by boat 14 miles each way! Those who went the day after us on a much windier/rougher day certainly felt green 'round the gills afterwards, so be warned and check the weather forecast well in advance! Perfect weather and an entertaining crew... More

Booked through our Air Canada Rep and Hola Tours. Beautiful boat ride across Samana bay will take you to the National park. Once there, you'll discover different bird species reigning over a multitude of small islands and you'll explore the beautiful caves of these islands. It can really take you back in time as you can imagine yourself being part... More

Booked this tour through Thomsons... Terrible from the moment we got to the mainland to get picked up... Shuffled between cabs and several 'stops', no one spoke English and it just got worse. Basically you just go on a boat ride for about an hour, a quick trip along a small mangrove channel and into a cave.. Not a lot... More
