We took our 1 year old and our 5 year old. The guy who gave us the tour was the best ever! He was amazing, spoke 5 languages and was so happy. His English and humour was excellent. He took pictures for us and even convinced me to load up on the MamaJuana (not that I needed much convincing) Amazing,... More

This was part 2 of a one trip. You need more than 3 hours as they drive you to the cigar shop first for 45 minutes, then to the choco meseum for 45 minutes. It's more of a shop with some samples available to try. The products were really yummy. We didn't buy chocolate because it was hot and we... More

This was my first experience outside of the resort. It had a nice tour of how cigars are made. The gift shop was a bit on the high sides price wise. I purchased a photo album and later found the same album for about half price at the resort. The choco factory was nice. The guide gave some history on... More

Went with my daughter and cousin and they went above and beyond wonderful. Best chocolate I have ever had. My daughter had gotten car sick on the way so one of the workers got us a ride back early. It was great

Updating from original review which is below. I loved the samples and bought a few $7 bars to bring home some small bite size ones to give out. Got home and gave out bit-size ones and people weren't impressed. I tried one and tried the bars and they didn't taste anywhere near as good as the ones in store. So... More

My wife and I visited ChocoMuseo and paid $70 for both of us to do the chocolate-making tour on May 26, 2014. It's a long review for a chocolate-making tour, but it was a strange experience for us. Overall the trip had its highs and lows. First, we booked on Saturday morning to be picked up at 12:50PM on Monday... More

A guide shows you around the small shop and tells you all about how Cacao is harvested and processed and the history of chocolate. As before, they give you a sample of anything you want and don't push you buy anything. We ended up buying a lot of different products. The best thing there is the Chocotea which is made... More

Pay the $35 to make your own chocolate so much fun and worth it. It take about 2-3 hours from start to finish so wear your comfortable shoes, but it is so worth it. Highly recommend. Great thing to do on a rainy day, especially since you can book the same day.

We went yesterday & the experience was definitely one of the most memorable parts of our trip and a great break from the resort! Fun for adults & kids, but make sure you do the chocolate workshop (its extra - $35 for adults & $20 for kids) but worth it! You get to make your own cocoa paste - helping... More
