Visited Manati Park on June 15th 2009. I visited Punta Cana for 10 days. During my trip we planned to stay at 2 resorts. 5 days at one and 5 days at the other. Since we would have to checkout of first resort at 11am and could not check into 2nd resort until 3pm, we decided to spend the day... more

The dolphin swim was really good and The big sea lion kiss was good for Vera. The monkeys, birds and the iguanas were very interesting. The horse show was a little disappointing. We missed the bird show and the Taino Indian show :( We got an extra little show because one of the dolphins got a little [--] and wacked... more

Do not let anyone try to tell you that this a place to spend the day. Unless your child has never seen an animal other than house pets, please save your money. They reel you in advertising as a dolphin encounter. The dolphin encounter is only done once a day, at 2 pm. At that time, dolphin braclets sit on... more

For us, this was a great outting. We took our two kids there, aged 3 and 7. Considering that it is a Dominican zoo, I went with limited expectations and ended up having one of the best days on our vacation. The day we went was gloomy, but there was plenty of shelters to wait out the rain. The price... more

We were there with our two grandchildren, ages 3 and 8. It was only 30 min. from our resort and we found the staff there very friendly. We enjoyed the shows. Our granddaughter loved swimming with the dolphins!!!! I was able to take pictures, and we also bought a dvd with their pictures for $25 to take with us. I... more

I've just returned from the Dom Rep, and visited Manati Park despite reading negative reviews here on trip advisor and being put off by our Thomas Cook Tour Rep who informed me that they simply will NOT book their customers on Manati Park trips because of the animal welfare. I actually wanted to travel from the East where I was... more

We have just returned from a week in the Dominican Republic, and we had a great day at the Manati Park. If you are visiting Dominican Republic do not go to MANATI PARK.You will see animals in such terrible surroundings and conditions you will want to lash out at the owners. If you are a diver like myself you will see dolphins so overworked it is a crime.. These are wild animals for gods sake, not toys. THIS PLACE MUST BE... more
