Everything about Pelicano is professional and pleasant. My trip started with Ines who suggested a trip to Catalina island. It was an all day affair and so very easy. Roberto and Andre, our dive masters, did everything they could to make sure we had both a pleasant and safe experience. The island is beautiful and the day included 2 dives... More

I had been diving multiple times before in Hawaii, Jamaica, and Mexico and decided it was finally time to get my open water certification. We booked the vacation online through their website and didn't realize that they were located at the Ocean Blue and Sand, which was next door to the Grand Bavaro. It was a short walk for us.... Kudo's to Javier and the staff. Enjoyed 4 great dives, 2 Atlantic and 2 Bayahibe (Caribbean). The staff was professional and very safe to dive with. They were approachable really attempted to make a fun dive. I dove with Javier and Andre, very experienced and capable guides. I will use them again and recommend to try them.

My third time with Pelicano Watersports and it gets better and better! I start feeling like home! Javier and Inês run the place with so much care for details and take very special attention for each one needs and act accordingly! This time we did the Catalina Tour but my favorites were the dives at StGeorge and Atlantic Princess wrecks... More

We have dived with these guys before and enjoyed it so much we came back again. We have our own equipment but the rental equipment is of a good standard and well maintained. We had several dive masters and all were very professional and very accommodating. Lots of different dive sites to try with something for every Padi level. The... More

I don't write many reviews, however I feel compelled to after my recent visit to Pelicano. Myself and my son recently completed Padi open water qualifications in the freezing waters of England, prior to coming to the Dominican Republic for a holiday. I emailed a couple of dive centres prior to our holiday to check costs, transport arrangements from our... More

Hands down this is an Excellent scuba shop, very personal and great instructors that actually take this seriously and have YOUR safety as their first priority. My brother and I got certified as open water and the whole experience was fantastic. All material was covered without compromising quality. I while ago I was a NAUI scuba diver (I guess I... More

I stayed at the VIK hotel, and the dive shop/water sports center is on the grounds - quite convenient for me. I'd recommend working with Inez (co-owner) to work out dives - the schedule can be a little confusing, but she was very helpful and worked with me to sort it out. Most of my dives were actually 'private' -... More
