We have just returned from an incredible Tabecalera de Garcia facility tour and have a new appreciation for world class cigars! This is a must see. Our tour guide was amazing and was very knowledgable. We were walked through every step of the process and provided with a great deal of information. The staff were equally fascinated by the tourists.... More

I tried to go from casa de campo which is right by the factory Was told they stopped giving tours and was sent to a tourist trap cigar store "By the airport" Luckily I got there before the massive tour bus. Got to see a dvd and a few displays and a small group making cigars Prices are more expensive... More

Hello Sr. The tour to Tabacalera de Garcia is still available tuesdays and thursdays at 10:00 am with reservation 24 hrs prior. I think they gave you the wrong information. Our other cigar factory, Tabacalera La Matilde, is a small boutique operation but we are very proud of what we do. If you ever come back to visit, please let... More

I loved this tour. We were lucky that our cruise ship stopped in La Romana on a Tuesday, because they only offer this behind the scene tour of the factory on Tuesday and Thursday. Made reservations online prior to the cruise and hired a taxi there at the pier to stay with us for the duration (about 3 hours total... More

I booked the Exclusive Dominican Cigar Tour - Tabacalera de Garcia & La Flor Dominicana with Gray Line since I was staying in Punta Cana and needed transportation to La Romana. I was promptly picked up in an air conditioned van at my hotel. By the way, this is not so common in DR. Most tour operations use open air... More

I booked this on the Garcia website (Romeo & Julietta cigars) This was facisnating. The personal care that is given to each cigar made here is amazing. If you ever wanted to see how a cigar comes to market, take this tour. The cigar store nearby is also chock full of the best cigars in the world. This is the... More

I thought I knew what went into cigar making holy cow, this tour sure changed my mind!! This tour is different from the the LaFlor Dominica Cigar tour because it only allows a few people on Tuesdays and Thursdays to visit the Tabacalera de Garcia cigar factory. Our guide was very knowledgeable about all the phases of the factory and... More

While recently staying in Punta Cana, I decided to follow a friend's advice and visit the largest hand-made cigar factory in the world. Am I a cigar smoker? Not at all. Did that turn out to matter? Nope. In fact, it was simply a compelling tour of a big factory, and that was enough for me. What made it special... More

We stayed at the Excellence resort in the Uvero Alto area of Punta Cana. I really wanted to see this factory since we decided to go to Punta Cana. The biggest problem I had was finding information on how to get there. In the last 6 months they have come a long way to help the tourists get there. They... More

To tour the factory, you need to make reservations at least 24 hours in advance. The tour is one of the best experiences to view the largest cigar factory in the world. We met with Jasmine at the La Flor Dominicana Cigar Factory in La Estancia and headed over for the tour at the factory. A once in a lifetime... More

Jose Seijas, the GM and master cigar maker, of Tabacalera Garcia, has left the company, to start his own boutique cigar company. In trying to visit Tabacalera Garcia, the guards at the plant looked at us like we were delusional. Apparently, Jose Siejas ran the tour aspects, and now that he is gone, there is very limited access to visit... More
