A great relaxing jaunt into the hills on horseback. The guides were excellent always ensuring the horses did not run away with us. A stop for lunch and then another stop for a swim, made the day most enjoyable. dont forget to take bananas to feed the horses, they love them. Would love to do this every morning. Watch out... The staff was great. The rest stop had really cold beer, but watch your prices when purchasing souvenirs there. Offer minimum of 40% of what they are asking.

We had a great time at Rancho Lorilar. We enjoyed meeting Joyce, an ex-pat from New York, who gave us the orientation. There were only two other riders besides myself and my husband, and we had three guides. The small group atmosphere was one of the best parts. The guides were very friendly and talkative, and gave us lots of... More

We booked online directly with Joyce. (you save money when you go directly, not by the Resort). We took the excursion all day with the meal. We saw beautiful landscape, the two guides we're very kind and they answered our questions (all of them). The food was good. We stopped at a place to go swim. Don't forget you sun... More

Can't recommend Lorilar enough. I just arrived home from a 2 week holiday to Puerto Plata and out of several tours I did my experience with Lorilar outstripped the rest.
