Me and my boyfriend had awesome time in 27 waterfalls! Before we went to waterfalls we read lots of reviews, positive and negative ones! Our advice: You need to love water, fresh water, high, hiking, hiking up to the mountain and jumping to the water and if you can say YES then you will really enjoy all 27 waterfalls! Also... More

Not sure I could make this but it was the most exhilarating and wonderful day. Hike to the top and either slide down waterfalls or jump. I am not a great swimmer but felt safe the entire water trail. The guides were very helpful and fun. Jumped from 20 foot cliff and loved every minute of it. Definitely an experience... More

We had the best time at this excursion. You really only need to do the 7 waterfalls. They are more than enough. Bring your own water shoes so you don't need to wear previously worn shoes. If you can, bring a Go Pro or a waterproof phone case. You will want to capture the memories! You must be fearless and... More

Its a bit out of the city Puerto Plata but it is worth visiting. Be sure to go there in the morning and also check with locals if it was raining at night or before - its better - the water is in ful power and its enough to go through the water channels ... I shouldn't be telling you... More

The people in the town convinced us that the charcos does not close. Thinking its a place in nature with the option to take a guide or go by ourselves we decided to go 2:30. They close at 3:00 and we were only allowed to go on the 2 bridges over mostly dry river. Go in the morning.

This was a great one! It was the dry season when we where there- so not all the falls were active. We still chose to do the full 27-- how many times will you have the opportunity to hike thru the forest in the Dom Rep?? I didn't think it was too bad of a hike- though some might think... More

The proceeds for visiting this beautiful set of waterfalls go directly back into the community- this is community and not government run. The guides were very kind and did not push you to do things you weren't comfortable doing (I, for example, was scared to jump, but there were alternatives) Must visit!

6 people in our party - myself, husband and 4 children, 20, 18, 15 and 13. We were staying in an all inclusive resort and picked this as our foray out of the enclave! We saw prices for this trip quoted at 75 US Dollars but were determined to not only do it on the cheap but experience something of... More

We booked the Country World Excursion through Francisco (http://marysoltours.net/en/) which included zip lining, horseback riding, petting zoo, and the 27 waterfalls (we only did 12 waterfalls) for $120 per person. DEFINITELY WORTH IT! The hike up was rough because it was hot and humid, but we were fine once we got in the water. We had two awesome tour guides... More

This was by far the best excursion we have done...ever! I am comparing this to driving buggys in the Baja Cabo, snorkeling in Turks & Caicos and St. Johns, driving dune buggy's in Punta Cana, Dr. Fish spa in PC, Margaritaville in Jamaica, boat ride to the Baths in Virgin Gorda and driving golf carts on Isla Mujeres. This is... More
