We took a quick and very interesting tour of the Brugal Rum Factory as part of a city tour of Puerto Plata. The best part was sampling the rum at the end!

It was amazing to see the plant and how they work. A big variety of rums and how they are made. Inetresting information about how they make the rum.

The visit to the factory takes about 10 mins. At the end, when you are brought into the shop, you are given tasters of which you are charged for. There was a fruit punch and of course rum:) however upon asking the staff member behind the counter if the fruit punch, which was crushed ice, contained any of the rum,... More

I visited the factory with a few friends. The guide was very friendly and humourous. However, the tour was very brief. We got a chance to see many aspects of the rum production processes. The scent of the rum will excite alcohol lovers once you set foot inside the factory building (No Photography allowed). The alcohol sold in the gift... More

We visited the Brugal Rum Factory while on our Marysol Tour of Puerto Plata. On this same tour we visited a cigar factory, Malecon cathedral, fort San Filipe, and the statue of Christ our Lord. We were also scheduled to go to the amber museum but after all the free samples of rum and cigars, we were too tired and... More

It was nice to see the actual rum production process, I wish that the photo taking was allowed. At the end of the short trip around the factory you can buy extra cheap rum (plenty of different to choose from)
