We stopped here as taxi we rented for 1/2 day took us to rum factory. A great experience and good rum. It was cheaper to purchase at factory than duty free at airport we noticed when we left Dominican

A behind the scenes tour of the factory with an English speaking tour guide (for our group), other language groups were formed also. Informative with a sampling of their rums which were available for purchase for next to nothing.

Nice factory tour with 2 small tasting of rum. They told about rum history and also Brugal history. Small visit to see also bottling lines in factory. After tour it is possible to buy rum from factory shop. Price was reasonable, about same or lower than in local shops.

This is was a good tour, learn about the rum and the history of Brugal in the DR. The best part, for me, was actually seeing the factory in operation. I know it was a small piece of the overall process but it was really cool.

I've been to many rum distilleries all over, but this one is in my opinion the nicest one. The tour is not too long, but still informative, the tasting in the middle of the tour offers a sampling of a couple kinds of their rum, and the gift shop offers their product at the lowest rates I have ever seen.

We stopped by the Brugal Rum factory for a quick tour while doing a "do your own" cab tour of Puerto Plata after arriving at Amber Cove on the Carnival Conquest. We spent around 30 minutes at the factory. After an interesting guided tour - with free sampling included in the $3.00 entrance fee - with we were provided the... More

We had the pleasure on visiting the factory on our honeymoon for a couple hours and had a very good tour guide explain to us how MASSIVE the brugal family had become and still keep there traditions it was a real eye opener and the staff were ever so friendly as we were expecting force sales to be made at... Entrance is for 3$, it is quite short, but very interesting. You will learn how did they start with making rum and progress until now. You will learn something about melasa (you can taste it also), about barrels and storage. Also we tasted 2 types of rum - extra anejo and XV (XV is much better in my opinion). They... More

Went on a city bus tour and this was one of the attractions. It was very interesting to tour through the factory to see the process and history of this distiller. A sampling was provided at the end and needless to say a couple of their deluxe rum bottles, still unopened;), made it as part of our duty free. Highly... More
