Unvarnished hometown feel, just the locals enjoying themselves, taking their dogs for a swim, mothers with babies splashing in the water, friendly atmosphere.

The beach is very nice and the day is was there there were strong waves but it is not always like that. We ate seafood at a little restaurant . Very good and the price was ok too.

If you are looking for a relatively quiet beach with no vendors and solitude, this is the place. Bring your own food and drinks however!

Right on the Malecon...you can stop at any of the lttle casitas and grab a snack and a drink, of course! Each one seems to have its own theme and some are decked out in very specific natonalities!

Long Beach is gone a long time ago in POP ! All that is left are the new "Casetas" ! 40 little bars along the Malecon with hardly any customers. A far cry from the good old Long Beach; I do not understand, why this is still on Tripadvisor ?
