Try to get up early as you can,the cloud cover will spoil it otherwise. Saying this its still a great trip with cloud's.

Make sure its a nice day because it is very pretty. But venders inside are very pushy. We took the cable car up which was very neat. The botanical garden is pretty too.

This was ok. You go very high up on a cable car into the mountains to the national park in puerta plata. It is foggy a lot when you look down. I'm glad I did it but it was just ok.

Fantastic views of the island !!! A word of warning.it can go from sunshine to cold and misty very quickly....the cable car ride was wonderful

A cable car ride to the top of a mountain with amazing views of the island. We experienced very clear blue skies then the clouds rolled in afterward...making it feel like we were lost in the sky. But it was amazing to see.

The cable car ride was the highlight. They talked about the beautiful views from the top, but you get the good stuff on the way up. The other side was all power lines, microwave and cell phone towers. Very pretty flowers on the grounds.

VERY steep ride up to the top. The botanical garden was just ok, but it was cool being in the clouds. I'm pretty sure the cafeteria was closed, and "tour guides" forced tours on us basically. That wasn't exactly what I was expecting.

Went up the mountain via the cable car, as part of a day excursion booked through our resort. Go early in the morning to get the best views, as the misty clouds roll in quickly, before noon.
