This is a fairly quick trip. Recent addition of headphones for guided tour and information makes it more satisfying. A huge amount of history in this one small fort. Interesting views to the ocean where you can watch freighters coming and going from the busy heart of Puerto Plata. Nice place to bring a picnic. There are a few hawkers... More

This tour was included in my city tour with the cable car ride. It is a small fort and you where a headset around and it tells you about each of the rooms you enter as well as all of the things that have happened there. It was not bad and quite interesting. The views at the top are very... More

Nice place to check out and a nice walk along the coast. You can buy some nice oil paintings there for a good price. More

This is a very small place, which is not really worth seeing. I thought that the audio commentary of the display cases was hilarious, something like: "in case number one, there are bits of guns" ... That's it!. Don't bother to go! More

This is an inexpensive stop as part of a city tour that is pretty cool to see.15-30 minutes is more than enough time to take it all in.You get a close up view of Puerto Plata Harbour as well More
