There were a few interesting pieces in there. If Amber is your stone, then by all means visit. Otherwise, don't make a specific point of going

A bit of a let down but perhaps I was expecting too much. The guide was very good and knowledgeable but there wasn't very much to see.

Maybe it's me, but In this world of interactivity I expect museums and art galleries to be more than dark spaces with difficult to see artifacts. This Museum is small, just one floor above the obligatory cigar, jewelry and tourist shop. Some of the displays were very interesting, but the aim isn't really to show these it's to get you... More

The setup was well laid out with the history and what amber really is. Bought some earrings for my daughters and theyreally loved them. Really enjoyed rolling my own cigar!

On our city tour, enjoyed a stop at the Amber Museum. We watched the workers take a rough rock and turn into a polished stone. Time was allowed for shopping in the gift shop.

A guide spoiled our tour of the small museum with talking broken english instead of letting us read the signs and watch the amber slowly.

We visited the museum as part of the city tour. Small museum but interesting to learn some history on the Dominican and see how they mine amber.

I like the way they explain the different stones the way they present all the information then we went to the jewlery place were they make rings etc the way they explain all beautiful
