Very nice colonial buildings, great time going around the city, was lucky enough to get a nice tour guide which was a worker at our hotel, we gave him $40 to $100 depending on where he would take us and how long the trip was. He took us all over and really made our trip worthwhile since driving in this... More

I toured Christopher Columbus house, Mercado Modelo, El Conde, the Cathedral and a few local shops on El Conde. The tour lasted about four hours and it was inexpensive. If you have... More

I took the half day tour, it was perfect to see the life of the people along the way to the city, and to see the old architecture! I took lots of pictures, we had time for shopping in the local market! More

This is a great day trip from Punta Cana if you are interested in seeing local culture, history and getting in some shopping. You get a great sensing of history with the various tours of: Alcázar de Colón, Cathedral of Santa María la Menor (which is beautiful), Casa del Cordón (home of Diego Columbus), Tres Ojos, Calle El Conde (one... It`s hard to start touring Santo Domingo, so many places to visit! I`d say the first stop would be the long ocean drive ( Malecon ) which might feel like a little Miami at some point, with tall buildings and great stores, restaurants and clubs. At the end of the Malecon there`s the entrance to the grand old colonial city,... More

Our Nolitour rep at our hotel strongly suggested that we take her tour to ensure that English was going to be spoken for us. As it turned out, our tour guide spoke very little English. We missed so much of the information about the city and to top it off, he switched the meeting time (without informing the 6 English... More
