The grounds were easily the most peaceful and clean we'd seen in the city. However, there was no signage in English (little in Spanish) and no map was provided. Not sure why as foreigners we had to pay so much more when so many things were closed to us (The Orchid pavilion, bromeliad, etc...) Not worth the expensive taxi fare... More

Better than I expected, also more structures and formal gardens than I expected. There is a forest reserve area as well, but not clear if there are trails, aside from the one the train took. The entrance fees are confusing - higher for foreigners, which is fine - one fee for the train, one for the museum, one for the... More

I went with my family to a dinosaur park inside the Jardin. It was very nice and the dinosaur were spectacular. Loved the Japanese garden, it is beyond beautiful. Is well maintained. Is perfect for a picnic or activity. More

Visiting the Jardin Botanico gave us a chance to clear out the exhaust fumes breathed while visiting the rest of the capital---a beautifully cared for nature reserve right in the city. It would have been nice for more of the plants and trees to carry labels, so we could have learned more names. More

It is really amazing the pride they take in small things. Of course it is not gardens like in a first world country, but it was really lovely to visit and everyone was very friendly. More

The Jardin Botanico is a very nice retreat from all the noise and traffic of the city. Its large enough that you can leave it all behind. Some nice walking paths, lovely japanese garden. Good place to bring a picnic lunch. Not the most elaborate Botanical garden you'll ever visit, but its a nice afternoon activity. More
