Very well kept, full of history and very memorable. Accept the offer of the guide in the front.. they are VERY well informed and helped enhance my experience greatly.. but be aware, despite the fact that they are hired and paid by the Ministry of Tourism and they don't "work for tips".. If you tip extra, don't get suckered in... More

We found this while walking down the street looking for Museo de las Casas Reales, the guard outside waved for us to go in. It is full of history, I wish we had a guide to show and explain to us but it is self explanitory and I later googled it to read up some. Must see for any history... More

This is a very beautiful historic landmark and IMO a must see. Dominican people are very proud of the legacy of their people, but, out of respect remember, quiet please, and, no hats allowed. More

As we were walking by, a guide from the Ministry of Tourism took us around and gave us an insightful, fun-fact filled tour of the Pantheon and the Calle de Las Damas! More

The street where the National Pantheon is , is very nice . Many buildings are made from stones that I thought came from the recifs but also and mainly from inside the island . White to Beige stone with holes , uniques ! On my trip in the island , I will find those stones in many houses and walls... More

Was a church now a place that houses the famous fathers and other important people of the country. Guard stands outside to add solemnity to this attraction. More

This building is a wonderful masterpiece in Zona Colonial. There are tombs of important leaders, painted arched ceilings European style, the national flag, just stunning. More
