Just a huge building with replicas, very few items a real, everything else is a replica, what a waste of resources that could be use to built a hospital for children in estead More

This musuem is such a joke. I was expecting to see lots of things from christopher columbus life. What I saw was his tomb and a bunch of present day artifacts. Each country he explored was there and had its own room but the items there were not of christopher columbus. There was some letters he wrote, a row boat... More

Truly a great monument to Chris Columbus. I remember seeing the lights turned on at night creating a cross in the night sky. It's been a long time since its worked. An absolute shame that budget cuts have affected this monument. More

Well this was built in tribute to Christopher Columbus. It cost the country millions of dollars and many nationals questioned this during the construction. Now, it is a source of National pride. Locals eyes light up when they talk about this building. It feels wonderful to help support it! More

Although the construction of the Lighthouse almost brought entire nation of DR to the brink of complete bankruptcy it is magnificent and well worth paying $3 (100$ pesos) admission. This was made by president Balaguer to honor columbus and the 500th birthday of the new world being discovered. Interesting museum inside. More

hey if you want to make a small trip to every country into latin america go to faro a colon it is worth while to see the exhibits, don't take pictures thought but it is cool! And have a taxi waiting for you because it is hard to get public transportation there. More
