Bahia is a national park so you have to know how to get there. From Pedernales, it is about a 15 to 30 minutes motorcycle ride (can be quicker in a real car), depending on how the roads are once you get passed Cabo Rojo and onto the dirt road that leads to the Bahia. Right before the entrance to... More

Nature at it's purest !! It's a long great drive about 5 hours from Santo Domingo. I recommend traveling and lodging in Barahona at Playazul first. Then travel the following day. Get there before noon to enjoy a full day.Once there you have to do the VIP PLUS package. They take you to a remote piece of beach where its... More

A friend of mine recommended this beach and what we weren't expecting this. By far the most beautiful beach in the Dominican Republic. The road to go there is bumpy so make sure you rent a good car . You can only access it by boat and the locals taking you there are friendly and helpful. The boat ride is... More

Long story short: If you can only go to one single place in DR; choose Bahía. Excellent place for beach goers and nature lovers, its very quiet, waves free, peaceful and less crowded than any other beach in the conuntry. I stood at Cabo Rojo for the night and went to Bahía by boat in the morning, I would recommend... More

I highly recommend this beautiful beach to anyone visiting the south of the Dominocan Republic or who ever wants to see what a pristine and undeveloped beach looks like. I recommend to get there by boat. Also, bring beach umbrellas camping tents or anything that will protect you from the desert sun. *There are no tall trees there. There's no... More

To start, the road to it is just as enjoyable for me. Is so different since I am used to see the green of the North of the island but the desertic escene attracts my eye incredible and everything turns into a perfect background. Once in the beach, it just gets better. We went through boat and is safe to... More

Bahia de las Aguilas is a true paradise. We drove there from Santiago which took almost 10 hours despite making 3 short 15min stops along the way. After crossing Barahona we drove along the coastline for 2-3 hours. Watch out for the random cows and horses inadvertently crossing the street. There aren't any luxury hotels after leaving Barahona. We stayed at... More

Don't bother with a tour unless you don't have a car. You can get there yourself by car or arrive and hire a boat once there.
