Visited on a Sunday, so probably avoided the biggest crowds. The walk is short and pleasant through lush forest and the pool is very beautiful!

Make sure you visit this amazing water fall whenever you visit Dominica. It is really easy to access and you can relax in the cool clear water under the fall.

I visited Dominica back in 2011 with a hiking group from Antigua and this was the hike we did. It's one of the Waitukabuli national trails if I'm not mistaken. We started at "ponde casse" and ended at rhe falls. It was the longest hike I've done to date but there is a shorter version for persons just visitng the... More

It's a very pretty Emerald Green pool that you can easily take a quick dip into! The walk is fairly easy, but it's best to have a good pair of good walking sandals that can get wet

This is an easy and pretty trail to a small waterfall. If you are an adventurous person, you may want to go elsewhere.

of the six waterfalls i visited while in dominica, i'm afraid emerald pool was one of the least spectacular. it's worth a stop, but it's neither as deep nor as green as it used to be, most likely due to recent trail improvements. according to one of my guides, the trail used to be far more "natural"- covered in leaves... This is a very short hike through the woods. We hired a guide but that wasn't really necessary. The pool is probably very nice at certain times but we were there in the afternoon and it was just OK. The light should be just right, perhaps morning is better. You can swim under the waterfall and that is very nice.

Emerald pool is another easy hike. Good for building stamina if you plan to visit some of the harder hikes like Sari Sari or Boiling Lake. Make sure you have the weekly pass when you visit because there is always someone checking and it is cheaper to get the weekly pass. The pool is very shallow. I thought I would... More

Best to hire a taxi or minibus, the forest is a lovely walk and the drive spectacular. It did rain but that added to the atmosphere and it is a rain forest.

Emerald Pool is a UNESCO World Heritage Site - and for good reason! The walk down to the pool/falls is beautiful. Take your time and enjoy a number of views, as well as the small things. A guide is helpful for enhancing the experience. Wear a swimsuit under your clothes so you can go into the pool. Sneakers or "hiking... More
