Beautiful beach, so-so amenities

The beach itself is amazing. I didn't have the courage to buy food there, so I don't know how it is. I brought my own beer, water, chips and bananas. At lunch time the beach can... read more

The beach itself is amazing. I didn't have the courage to buy food there, so I don't know how it is. I brought my own beer, water, chips and bananas. At lunch time the beach can get crowded, so if you want shade you need to get here early.

I believe this is also called Groot Knip Beach and we stopped here on a guided tour for a few minutes while visiting Curacao. It is beautiful and an out of the way beach. From the parking lot above you can walk down a flight of stairs onto the beach, into the water or enjoy many spots with shade on... More

Beautiful, large beach with lots of beautiful turquoise water and some opportunities to cliff jump. We liked it for its raw beauty but liked the overall amenities and experience of Porto Marie better.

The beach and water are nice, but you will notice some trash on ocean floor if you snorkel. Saw lots of fish, not too much live coral. Better snorkelling than other her spots on them slander. The facilities are mediocre. Not enough shade spots on beach.

A very nice natural beach open for everyone. Water is amazingly clear, sand is white and the beach is shielded from the trade winds, Mind you it's not accessible unless you can walk down the steps. There is a small and sleepy snackbar with beer and soft drinks, bathrooms and shower for a fee (but you have to change your... More

Please be aware of the trees on Kenepa beach! Some of them are poisonous and they are called the Manchineel tree known as the little apple of death. Please research!

Of the four snorkeling sites we visited on Curacao (this one, Porto Mari, Lagun and Groote Knip), this tied with Lagun for the best. Follow the wall right and there's lots of healthy coral and loads of fish. Knip is typical of Curacao's cove beaches: turquoise water, walls on both sides, and nice coral sand. We're not beachies, so we... More

We visited this beach and were in awed about the beauty of this place. The turquoise blue color of the water is just magnificent! And best of all it is a natural, virgin beach with no big hotels, vendors around, etc. Just the bare necessities a shower/bathroom ($1.00 for using it, and bring small bills) and a stand where you... Kind of hard to get to, but worth the trip. Park in the lot up on the bluff, and make sure you don't leave anything visible in the vehicle. There are a few little palapas, but be aware that this beach is very popular. If not during the high season the little shack on the beach will not be open,... More
