My husband and I participated int he Dolphin Swim at the Dolphin Academy in the Sea Aquarium in Curacao in November, 2009. We loved it! The dolphins were well trained and very friendly with us and we have some wonderful photos and video/DVD taken by the professionals at the DA. The Swim is about 30 minutes long and you have... more

I just returned from an amazing vacation in Curacao. I will have to say that unfortunately the dolphin encounter was a lowlite. I went with my 3 children and booked the dolphin encounter for $79 US a person. We were in the water with them for a maximum of 15 minutes (I am being generous) for all 4 of us... more

I'm just writing a review on the unfair booking practice this establishment has. They will not let you book directly with them if you are coming in on a cruise ship. They have agreements with the cruiselines for the days they are in port. Aside from the mark up - it created a major intereference as you have to deboard... more

We visited here three years ago. Our daughter attended the academy (12 years old) and had a great time. The instructors were wonderful! We would highly recommend this program for anyone that is interested in learning more about dolphins, While she was in the training program, my husband did his scuba diving, I watched the group when they were in... more

The dolphins are treated with such love and respect by the trainers here. Although the dolphins can jump out of their enclosure, they choose not to. We were also told that the dolphins are also taken into the open waters regularly for more exercise and playtime. The dolphins choose to come back when the trainer(s) whistles. The trainers are very... more

Our family of four all enjoyed the Dolphin Swim. It was amazing. Although I tried to book directly through the Dolphin Academy website, as it was less expensive than booking through the cruise line, the website stated that cruise customers are required to book through the cruise line exclusively. (They actually forced us to book through the cruise by having... more

A once-in-a-lifetime experience. I would suggest that everyone do this even if you are apprehensive. I convinced two people in our traveling party to book this and they weren't really sure but now they can't stop thanking me for convicing them to do it. I can't wait to go back a visit again! Excellent!!!! more

We just returned from Curacao and the Dolphin swim at the Seaquarium is definitely something you should try. It is a bit pricey but worth it. We spent alot of time with the Dolphins and actually had alot of interaction. The Dolphin trainers seem to genuinely care about the dolphins and put their well being above all else which is... more

We had a great time swimming with the dolphins. However, when we went to buy the CD's we had problems with them. My husband and I swam at separate times so we could take photos. Then bought both CD's of the experience. The guy behind the desk said he would give us both CD's for the price of $109 (which... more
