My 8 yo son & I did the dolphin encounter and My 13 yo daughter & husband did the dolphin swim. Both programs were educational, fun and a GREAT experience. The staff at the Academy are knowledgeable, answer any question and seem to really enjoy working with the dolphins. The encounter & the swim was very organized and ran smoothly.... More

I booked this directly through the website. Our cruise ship offered the "encounter" at a much higher price, but the cruise ship did not offer the "swim". My daughter preferred the swim. We took a taxi from the port, about $15 for the four of us. The swim was for 2:00. We watched a video first then were taken to... More

Dolphin Academy is a great place to visit for any age. Swam with the dolphins (extra fee) but worth it. 30 minutes to feel the dolphin, swim with it, can free dive with it, ask it to do "tricks" dance, shake hands, splash. Experience is captured by a photographer and can purchase all the pics. Animals seemed healthy, happy and... More

We were briefed before we went into the water. Surprised to know how detrimental the shipping transport is to underwater life. We were able to go into the water with the Dolphins but could not swim with them because of our daughter being only 5. We gave them instructions to jump, sing, hold their fins, and of course be kissed... More

Swimming with dolphins was so much fun! You should definitely do it! You get to touch them and play games with them. Well worth the cost!

Great time and kids loved it. Trainers were great. I had one kid do the swim and one the experience. Both had a great time.

My two daughters did the dolphin swim and the experience was amazing! I enjoyed watching them and they had a great time. The trainers are all really nice and there really was good quality time spent with the dolphins. The kids swam and dove with the dolphins, kissed them, watched them dive and play. It really was amazing. If you... More

The trainers were friendly but contradicted themselves when giving instruction- they repeatedly criticized how we were doing things in the water, we understand the need for protection of the dolphins but with 3 trainers there, it was not easy to follow what we were supposed to do - such as they said to swim with the dolphins but don't chase... The trainers were friendly but it was hard to keep them happy. They constantly said "don't chase them!" but then would say "Swim with her or she won't want to be near you!!". There's only so many ways to swim with a dolphin and it felt like we did it wrong the whole time. I loved being able to be... More
