Lots to see on this side. The floating market with the colourful fruits and vegetables. Vendors as far as Venezuela come here and sell. Ft. Amsterdam and the Govenor's Palace is a must see. Brightly colourful buildings. Safe to walk around. I basically window shopped. Not being a shopper, I just walked by trying to find more historical sites.

Lots of shopping here but same prices as the U.S. You can find good food here but service is non-existent.

Punda is a fun place to hang out and go shopping. However, make sure you go early as almost everything closes at 5PM daily. Also, most store owners are willing to bargain the price so do not settle for the price that is on the tag.

The best place to see the classic view of Punda is from the ramparts of the old fort in Otrabanda. The old buildings with their brightly painted facades are very photogenic. We didn't see much in the shops in Punda (or Otrabanda) that we couldn't get for much the same price in Canada or the States, but if you like... More

Punda is Willemstad downtown. Very beautiful to watch from Otrobanda, also very beautiful to walk through. The houses are old, colourful and this area is a UNESCO world heritage site. There are a lot of cafes, some restaurants, bars, shops, and also a tourist information spot (very friendly people!)! It is worth the visit, at least take an afternoon to... More

Punda is Willemstad's center. Lots of fashion and jewellery shops, and the cute, colorful row of waterfront houses with restaurants and a view.

Punda is a nice place to walk around, enjoy the sights of the harbor, the beautiful and colorful historic buildings, and do some shopping. If you're into fine watches, such as Rolex, you can get some great deals at Gandelman Jewelers, an authorized Rolex dealer. I live in Las Vegas, and my husband has a Rolex collection, so I know... The pictures shown in the promotional material are usually of the shops on the waterfront. They look fantastic. The reality is nice but when one expects a 'UNESCO World Heritage Site' one is somewhat disappointed that once you move away from the waterfront, things are hit and miss. And it seems that there is a lot of room for improvement... More
