This museum is on the smaller side but there are plenty of items to see. If you are interested in sailing or maritime history you'll probably enjoy it. For us, an hour was sufficient to see everything. Their gift shop has some higher priced items that are unique. I Certainly recommend a visit for the maritime minded.

I went with my husband, 14 yo daughter and my uncle and we all found it very interesting. There is a short video that is defiantly worth watching, puts it all into perspective.

There is an informative DVD but the actual displays in this beautiful building are pretty limited. Worth a visit, but won't take long.

We spent over an hour here, and regretted that we'd not had time to have lunch in Sails, the restaurant upstairs. There is a fine video of the history of Curaçao, much of which is maritime of course but there is much else. A number of interesting ship models and maps. And the shop - don't miss it! Some of... We took the tour of the bay and thoroughly enjoyed it. A nice trip with lots of good information and a great ship to ride on. A very enjoyable time and any one would enjoy it in my opinion.

Very enjoyable to wander around the displays. You won't need a lot of time for this. Enjoyable way to see some history of the island. Watch the video for a quick run down of the last 500 years or so on Curacao.

Here you can get some good histrorical info about the time that the slave were brought to Curacao. They got some great scale models and a real canon. go have a look.

My husband and I do like to visit museums where we go to get a sense of the place. As mentioned by another contributor, this museum also presents a history of Curacao and its colonization by the Spanish and the Dutch, in addition to the maritime exhibitions. Enjoyed the couple of hours we spent there. Also, the museum building itself... More

The museum was nice with the guided tour to add to the already well available text in dutch and english. The habour tour I believe was the highlight to make the whole experience be understood. The maritime environment of Curacao is shaky at best because of economic reason. This habour is one of the best natural habour located in the... More
