It was a nice beach with plenty of lounge chairs for rent. There's a cute bar area with light food options. When we were there, there was a wedding near the pier. Breathtaking views, the water is gorgeous...2nd best place to get married in Curacao. Avila Hotel has my vote for #1!

In town for the afternoon, evening via a cruise stop we found our way here per cab driver's suggestion. Location, Value: entry to the place is cheap, it's getting there that's the cost. the cab is a bit more expensive b/c it's a fairly long drive from the cruise port. The beach is a horseshoe shaped cove down from the... More

We hopped in a taxi while we were in port for the day. We fully relied on our taxi driver to take us to a great beach. He didn't disappoint at all. The beach was very clean, the water was gorgeous and the snorkeling was incredible! There is a restaurant right there, you have to be some what familiar with... More

We had a tour booked with the cruise line (tugboat snorkel) which was canceled 5 days before the ship departed for our cruise. : ( In a scramble we booked with another tour company for a day at the Playa Porto Maire beach. It was to include taxi ride to and from the cruise ship, entrance fee, chair and umbrella.... More

This was a beautiful beach. I must admit there was a lot of rocks and coral in the water so wise to have swim shoes with you. I took a half hour taxi drive from the port to the beach for a cost of 50 bucks or $25 each way for two. The taxi promptly picked us up at the... More

The beach is nice with some facilities (dive school, restaurant, massage) but relatively crowded (at least the arrangement of the beds make look it like that) Good to have a swim, ok for snorkeling.

This was the beach we visited on a day stop on our cruise. We didn't book this excursion through the cruise, but got a van at the port. Idalene van Berkel was our van driver. Idalene is a wealth of information regarding her country. As there is no speed limit in Curacao, the cab ride is fast! Idalene speaks wonderful... More

This is a beautiful beach and really one of our favorites in our visit. We arrived right when the gates open so we were one of the first there before it got crazy crowded... We know there was an entrance fee of $3 per person, but (our fault) we didn't see the cost per chair rental as well. Since we... More

The beach is a beautiful white sand beach. Much of the water is shallow and has no current which seems perfect for young swimmers. This site was hit by a hurricane a decade or so ago and much of the reef has been destroyed. The reef is now a young reef in a state of renewal. Reef balls, hollow cement... More
