As a seasoned diver I was looking for a beach to take my wife for her first snorkel experience. I saw more sea life in the 5 hours of snorkeling than I saw on my last 3 or 4 dives. Sea turtles (plural), octopus, squid, sea snake, moral eels, puffer, parrot, angel, rockfish, lion fish, 3 types of tuna, a... More

We saw an octopus, squid, trumpet fish, rock fish and all other types of colorful fish. It was beautiful and the water was calm.

We went for a snorkel that we enjoyed. We went out huggin the right side of the cove then went right along the cliff area. There's a nice outdoor restaurant that we enjoyed also that is across the parking lot and next to a dive shop.

Playa Lagun is a great place for beginner snorkeling. It's safe, with only tiny waves, and you'll see lots of things. We brought our 8 year old out snorkeling and it was a great success. You can almost count on seeing a sea turtle. Bring your own gear or rent from one of the 2 dive shops right there near... More

Visited 5-6 beaches for SCUBA and snorkeling and this was definitely the best for snorkeling. Saw plenty of great coral and fish from as shallow as 5ft all the way past the cove ~200 yards out. Also the only place we saw turtles (2!). The beach itself is pretty small so I do not recommend visiting just to lay around... More

Well, theres a beach (kinda. Lame, even by Curacao standards), but you're probably here for the Scuba. The dive-shop map recommends hugging the left wall out to the two "caves", and then out to the reef and back, but i'd skip that entirely. Just swim out (its a ways out. maybe 10 - 15 minutes or so), and do the... More

While driving towards Casa Abou beach we decided spur of the moment to visit Playa Lagun instead. When you arrive at the parking area (no parking fee) you can already see the small beach in between two cliffs. The beach is fairly small and by the time we arrived there (around 10:30 AM on a friday), there were only about... More

Very Quiet beach, great snorkeling. Recommend you get there early to get prime seating area. Water is very clear and inviting. No amenities on site. A restaurant is adjacent to the beach and there is access.

We stumbled upon the best beach on the island. We rented snorkel gear and I saw more sea life in 10 minutes than I did in 2 hours in the Keys. The sunburn on the backs of my legs was totally worth it. We came back 3 more times and are already planning to return next year. I almost don't... More

A way cool, chill beach that 2 Curacao residents recommended to us, Lagun Beach was an excellent place to relax for 5 hours today. Arriving around 11:30 am on a weekday, we found parking readily and put two loungers under one of the wooden shade spots. A polite young man in charge of receiving payment for the rentals came as...
