We thought the snorkeling here was better than Porto Marie but not as good as the tugboat area. The rock cliffs on either side of the beach had some coral around it and therefore a few more fish as well. Get there early and grab a little shade while it's available as there aren't as many umbrellas as Porto Marie.

This beach is not so crowded as Porto Marie. No snorkelling. The food is fast food but that's oké. Beautiful!

We had high expectations based on the reviews here but unfortunately were disappointed. The reason people probably like this beach is because it's long and wide, unlike other beaches in Curacao. You had to pay $6 per car to get in and $3 for a sunbed. The prices were reasonable considering there was a cafe and a toilet. The shower... More

The is a very nice beach. I strongly recommend to visit during the week. It is very crowded on weekends. You do pay to get it, maybe 10 dollars. Chair rental is 3 dollars. There is plenty of shaded areas if you get there early. There is good snorkeling to the left of the beach. I swam all the way... More

Yes, you pay to get into Cas Abao but it is worth it. There is food for purchase and beer. The parking is relatively safe.It is a wide open area of water for sure but safe. We saw the usual fish inhabitants and fair numbers of them. Then oh my gosh a southern sting ray swam through! That was too... More

The beach was good and we enjoyed our day here. The beach chairs were extremely hard though and I couldn't relax. The beach is good for youngsters as it's shelving and safe. The showers - only one working so the ticket was pointless as the queue for the only shower was long. Had to wait over 45 minutes to be... More

It is a beautiful sandy beach, but it had more people than any other of the beaches we visited. We did not pay to get in; chairs are $3 to rent. The water was very clear. They start ringing a bell near 6 PM, when the beach is about to close. Too bad, because sunset would be only one hour... More

We thought this beach was the best on the island. Very pretty. Clear water and white sand. You do have to pay 10 to get in, which I think was like 5 USD. It is worth it. Chairs are 3 USD to rent. There are some small rocks in the sand walking into ocean so water shoes would be helpful... More

Very nice beach but you do have to pay to enter and it closes around 6pm. We enjoyed the beach until we got “stung” by very small (unseeable) creatures or something. It wasn’t a lasting or even a strong sting, it was more unnerving that something in the water was stinging you.

As some other reviewers noted, there was a little trash, but it wasn't bad. Humans are disrespectful all over the world. Otherwise, the sand was beautiful, the water was beautiful, the rock formations were beautiful, the beach wasn't too crowded, the chairs and food were not over-priced, etc. In fact, my cheeseburger was much better than I expected (much better...
