My fiancé and I recently stayed in Curaçao for a week. On our last day we booked a trip with Mermaid to Klein Curaçao. They picked us and another couple up from our hotel, the Marriott, for a small fee. It is necessary to mention the rough ride (roughly 1.5-2 hours long) over to Klein Curaçao. We read many reviews... We did this tour on a Sunday. The transport to and from the boat was well arranged, friendly and very safe. The boat was impressive and very clean. The ride to ‘Klein Curacao’ however was a difficult one. Pay attention, you can get really sick on this one. We are used to boat trips but during this one both of... More

we waited too long to find a tour operator to take us to Klein Curacao, and totally lucked out that this operator still had room to take us on two days' notice. $8 extra fee for a round-trip shuttle from our resort. We had no idea how lucky we were! Mermaid has a permanent installation on Klein Curacao with lots... More

What more can you ask for? -beautiful beach -clear, calm water for swimming -good snorkeling -nice boat -delicious bbq lunch The water is kind of rough like other reviews say, but it was totally doable the day we went. You have to get an early start, they pick us up from out hotel at 6:15am. We returned a little after... More

The only reason my review is not a 5 is that smoking is allowed on board and most of the crew smoked as well as some passengers. The crew did a wonderful job and worked very hard for our pleasure. The BBQ on Little Curaçao was quite good and attractively presented. The island has a lot of man made debris... More

The ride to Klein Curacao was great and the island really different with a lovely sand beach. You could see the sea turtles from shore. Breakfast was a little gross to eat as everyone was touching the buns to see what was in them and then putting them back and yes the orange juice was Tang. The BBQ and presentation... More

Thank you Mermaid team for wounderful experiance while visiting Klein Curacao. The service on the boat and on island was perfect. So organized and kind. We were the first boat arrived on island and we left the island as last. So we had much more time to enjoy this beatuful island. The food was excelent. I really recomend this trip.... More

Crew and staff rude and oblivious, breakfast was gross dinner rolls with ham and cheese, and tang to wash it down. Lunch was better, some equipment was around to snorkel or whatever - it was pretty roached out. Lots of trash and broken glass everywhere , definitely skip scuba diving unless you don't mind getting run over, dropped down current... More

Let me begin by confirming that everything written below regarding the rough ride is true. We went to the island on a beautiful November morning, hardly any wind and no rain, and of the 60 or so passengers, 5 or 6 were throwing up overboard about 45 minutes into the 90 minute trip. Not everyone has 'sea legs' so if... More

Most of the staff seamed pretty rude and it was totally unsafe scuba diving. The boat crew was towing an inflatable banana behind a skiff while divers were in the water and payed absolutely no attention the divers, nearly decapitating one dive master that was pulling a dive flag! Then it sent chills down my spine when we pulled anchor... More
