For the price of one peso, this tucked away place really is well worth a visit, but only if you have the time. We quite enjoyed our one hour visit and tour of the bottom floor and we believe that is really all of the time that you need... at least until the top floor is finished. Just wished that... More

This last rip to Varadero was my 1st journey to the Museum. Until this trip, I had walked by it many times not even aware it was there. But back off the main drag and tucked away in the trees is this fabulous museum that costs 1 CUC to get a tour. Many great artifacts for years gone by and... More

Small museum in an old house. Not a lot of artifacts but still worth the visit. The cost to enter was one peso per person, and there were interesting stories by the guide.

Worth a special trip. Not enough time allowed to really see everything as we were on a bus tour and were rushed through. but saw enough to know one could spend the day there. Would visit again on my own time. Museum guides very knowledgeable with good English skills for those of us that are not able to understand much... More

This museum was included on one of our tours. The tour guide spoke very little English so it was hard to understand what all was being said. There were some neat and very old items to see, and its a rather quick tour.

I would find someone to take you to Havana rather than getting on that loaded bus. It was nice kind of freaky when the bus driver stops and has to talk to the security guards with guns, especially when the passengers don't know what they were saying. The guards seldom smiled.

If you manage to find it, it's worth a visit. It is located right on the beach to which you access via Primera Avenida and Calle 58 (or so!) facing park Josone. And right next to it you will find a small Cuban restaurant right on the beach where you can have a langouste for a very small price. Definitely... More

This was great surprise and a wee gem to come upon. The lady showed us round and explained in very good English the history of the museum.
