Hotel Casa Granda was the grand hotel in the 1950's It is a hotel with a view of the Catherdral and the park. Great location. I got deathly ill in Santiago (from whooping cought caught on a plane from Ft. Lauderdale to Nassau). The staff at Casa Granda treated me as a member of their family. It's comfortable, food's good, staff's great. Terrace bar is the heart of Cuba. Best feature: absolutely no racial bias (as one might find in Havana). more
