The Santiago Tropicana is known for two separate things: one is the Santiago version of the cabaret night club act featuring the traditional scantily clad dancers, etc. This takes place in the large open air amphitheater. The other feature is the discotheque that is also located in the same complex, in a smaller, separate enclosed space.

it's a nice disco with many cubans and a few tourists.
it's 10 CUC and you get 3 drinks included.
you have disco music (sometimes salsa too, I've been told) and it's fun.
it has both a dance floor and a balcony where to breathe once every while.
