If you plan to visit Coco Beach, walk through the village, the Cubans will invite you in to see jewellery etc for sale. You can make your way there on your own from... More

Smells really bad there, tonnes of Cubans from all over Cuba there on the weekends so very busy beach. Very dirty beach also. The bar and restaurant on the beach are nice if you can stand the smell long enough to stay there and have a meal or some drinks. Nice place but that's about it. More

Had lobster dinner in private home. It was OK, not great. The beach is ok but I prefer the resort beach. The restaurant on the beach was quaint and quiet in the afternoon. More

We enjoyed it fully and would recommend this excursion. Bring repellent if it has rained beforehand. The mosquitoes were annoying but other than that we had a great time. More

If you travel solo, probably not OK. The food is good, but you are forced to dance and sing (not my ideal way to spend an evening). Probably best to go on your own and dine with a local family instead of at the restaurant. More

Took a cab from Hotel Mayanabo......8 pesos......was going to rent scooter, glad I didn't...they tend to break down and you end up pushing it there. Upon arriving, grab a moldy old broken lounge chair, and 'bandito' wanted a dollar to use it....I sat on my towel. The wind and rain came, so we went into bar to wait for city... More
