Last year (2013) we hired a horse carried and went to the village of La Boca, about 9 km from the hotel. It was so hot that we did not spend too much time on the beach; instead, we kept walking along the old coral shore, in front of the houses belonging to the village of La Boca, whose residents... If you like fishing, bring your gear to Coco Beach, and try your luck at the rock point, approx. 300 ft after the last restaurant. There are big fish in the canal down the road.

Coco Beach has a beautiful beach, far superior than the beach in front of the resorts in Santa Lucia. No seaweed. The town is a small fishing village where the people are warm and friendly. It's a place to meet and hang out with locals.

One of the highlights of our trip was our two visits to Coco Beach and to be able to witness the flight of the flamingos on the way there was a definite bonus. The trip is approx 8 km on a fairly rough road and you can go by car, taxi or horse and carriage. If you do go by... More

We took a leisurely trip to Coco Beach by horse and buggy which we booked with one of the handsome cowboys from “Horse Ridings Tours”. They walk up and down the beach and you can’t miss them. For 15 CUC’s each it included the horse and buggy ride there and back……about 8 kms each way and lunch of lobster, shrimps... More

We went to Coco Beach for lobster dinner and had a blast! I do not eat lobster but we had chicken and I swear they brought us half the bird. The sunset was awesome and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the dance lessons. A great experience.

There is a small village called La Boca at Coco Beach and a restaurant where Cubans prepare lobster, shrimp etc. You can go for dinner or lunch. If you plan to visit Coco Beach, walk through the village, the Cubans will invite you in to see jewellery etc for sale. You can make your way there on your own from... More

Smells really bad there, tonnes of Cubans from all over Cuba there on the weekends so very busy beach. Very dirty beach also. The bar and restaurant on the beach are nice if you can stand the smell long enough to stay there and have a meal or some drinks. Nice place but that's about it.
