This place was recommended to us and I can honestly say I wish I had never bothered. You are charged 10 pesos entry for food, drinks etc and then you pay the difference after this has been used. I had chicken with chips well if you can call it that! The chicken was the greasy skin with about 1 mouthful... More

We headed to Jazz Cafe based on a recommendation. However, we were apparently late for the performance as it had started half an hour earlier than what we were told. After that, the bar converted to a standard dance club without much of a floor to dance on. As a cafe I wouldn't go there without a live act. The... More

This jazz club is what it says on the label - a jazz club. You almost get yur entry costs back in free drinks, you don't feel under pressure to drink more than you want to either. Is frequented by locals, supporting their friends and odd guest spots were a nice surprise. We were two women and didn't get hastled,... More

This jazz club is located in a modern building. The actual club is well air conditioned and smoke free. We heard a fantastic jazz band perform. They offer a full bar and there is an extensive menu if you want a meal.

This is a terrible place full of unprofessional staff, bad food, bad service....and bad everything. I´m Cuban, I use to go there during summer time for the last 8 years. In the past, the Jazz Cafe was a nice place to go, now... please do yourself a favor and do not go there. The staff is rude, the cocktails are... More

We were looking forward to an authentic Cuban experience...ethnic food, great music, and the promised $10 charge that included food or drinks up to that amount. So we paid the cover charge, then at the end of the evening we were hit with the cost of our food and drinks, essentially doubling the bill. My family was reluctant to cause a... More

Unlike the music venue of the same name I frequent often in Camden North London, The Jazz Café in Havana is a genuine shopping centre café by day that turns into a Jazz club at night. As a Jazz club to listen to some great sounds whilst sipping cocktails it works very well. As a place to eat don’t do... More

Jazz Café is a good choice when you are in the city of Habana at 10 PM any day of the week and you have tried other places to find they are either closed, crowded or overpriced. The cover fee is 10 CUC which you consume in your food or drinks. Some musicians are really professional and manage to get... More

Although we had on stage one "legend" of Cuba, Oscar Valdés and his group, I had the feeling that they were not really playing with passion but just doing their task for an hour and that it was. The service was attentive, but the atmosphere a bit artificial. Air conditioning at maximum, bring a fleece... 10 CUC including as many... More

I should have written this review about 18 months ago when I visited Havana for the first time and stumbled on to this place with my son Joe. I agree with most of the reviewers who say initial appearances aren't promising. Who expects a really cool jazz venue to be 3 floors up in a shopping centre after all!? But... More
