Located on the second floor in a small shopping mall just opposite the Melia Cohiba hotel I found this restaurant to be one of the very few restaurants in Havana were you can have decent Italian dishes. At night the restaurant becomes a Jazz Club with some of Havana's top musicians. Very nice!!!

This is a newer restaurant than most. Which is why it surprised me to see a woman at the washroom door looking for tips for toilet paper. It just seemed that this restaurant would be upscale enough that toilet paper wouldn't be an issue. My meal was good for typical Cuban food but my husband's pork was undercooked. We didn't... More

This place is relatively touristy with sub-par (though edible!) food and decent drinks. They are often missing a lot of ingredients for various dishes and cocktails, but that's fairly standard for Cuba. It's an alright place to go if you're in the area. If you really want to hear good live music, go to Café Jazz Miramar. It'll blow you... More

The Jazz Cafe bar/restaurant is just in front of the hotel Melia Cohiba in Vedado, where I lived a few times. They serve an average food at good price, and the mojitos are generally good. I attended two jazz performances and I enjoyed them. Shows start at 22:00 and they charge 10 CUC to entry, creditable if drinks or food... More

We were taken to this club by our tour guide. We wanted a place to hear local jazz. The place opened at 10 but the music doesn't start 'til 11. It was 10CUC per person which included 2 drinks. As we got there @ 10, we got a good table. The atmosphere was happy. The musicians started @ 11 and... More

I can't believe that people go to a Jazz Cafe and complain about chicken. I have been here twice. You pay a small entrance fee and you can have 4 mojitos with that fee. Second time I have great sea food too. But hey, this is not what you go to a cazz club for. If you want chicken go... More

Went their three times in December. First time: just to eat. My friend's half chicken looked grea (he said it was). My spaghetti w. shrimps? Shrimps (small ones) were tasty. But the spaghetti sauce tasted suspiciously like Ketchup. Mojito was terrific and low price. The next evening went again......this time to hear the music as well. I really wanted their... More

Saw great live jazz here! Didn't eat here. Didn't find any extra protein in our drinks. Friends drank rum and coke. I had beer. Worth it for the music.

Music was fantastic. Food and service was terrible. Rat droppings in the bread. Staff thought it was hillarious. Glasses are washed with a rag. Kitchen staff using the toilet and not washing their hands. A cab driver explained these conditions exist in all state run establishments. The pallidars (private) businesses have more at stake and have higher standards. If you... More
