The church is located at the entrance of the Old Habana town and the whole area is kept very clean and there are many shops and good restaurants and bars.

Easily missed but very worthwhile. There is always a little breeze blowing because it is close to the port. Beautiful with areas to sit down and picture takings are a must. On the convent side, there is a statue of Mother Teresa and a lovely garden when it is open.

Smaller than Plaza Vieja situated near the port but should not be overlooked. Many tourist groups to see the church. Entertainers and local dressed women to take them photo (not free). The large building opposite the Plaza was the terminal train station where the merchandise were loaded to the ships.Mostly an office area but there are some hotels and restaurants... More

Wonderful bronze statues and you just stand in awe of the old Spanish style buildings, the cathedral and just soak up the atmosphere of Old Havana.

The architecture is incredible. There are many restored buildings. The square is full of people and lots of photo ops. There is a micro-brewery that was very good. Take a walk down one of the adjoining alleyways and give gifts or money to the locals, it is very fulfilling and you will see more of the real nitty gritty of... More

This is a beautiful cathedral and square. The building is weathered, but not crumbling. The art inside was beautiful and worth exploring.

The church is really pretty. There is also a little museum of religious artefacts and it is possible to go up the bell tower for great views of the city. You have to climb a little but it is worthy!

Beautiful church and square, now with a small selection of religious art - and if you are lucky you'll see some bats flying around on your way up to the bell tower. Great views and for a small tip the guy at the top will take your photo with the view. Don't miss out on going to the garden behind... More
