A beautiful place to have some pic taken. An open space filled with locals and tourists as well. You will be able to feed the pigeons and enjoy the beautiful spanish architecture.

You could only look inside as there was a cost to enter. Our guide new the history regarding the hurricane (where now a picture is hung). He also spoke about the different types of architecture on one of the buildings. Every floor is different. I liked the bronze statue and its history outside the Saint Francis Cathedral.

Great square to meet people, get money, arrange transportation. The hotel in the square has a very helpful reception desk and looks amazing.

The Plaza is quite big, the church nice looking. Very classic. If you want to go round town in a horse and carriage, you'll find plenty of them right in front of Plaza San Francisco.

A beautiful square facing the harbour. Very close to Havana Club. A good spot to get a taxi or start your walk to discover la Havana Vieja.

This trip to the Square it was full of Friendship Bears. A display of large painted bears from many countries of the world. Each one painted in a style familiar to the country from whence is came and painted by an artist from that country. An interesting concept with some very beautiful creations. We also did a tour of the... More

I don't even care for opera, but we chanced upon a concert about to start in the Basilica and bought tickets. Magical.

We were in this Plaza twice - in the morning and in the evening. Morning is best for quiet reflection; go in the evening if you enjoy crowds of tourists, students, and the noise of cars and horse carriages loading and off loading customers on the port road which runs by the Plaza. There is a beautiful operating fountain in... More

Here it is getting busier by the minute. New cruisers, cars, horse chariots, people walking, doves... and the sun. Just try it.
