Situated in central Old Havana this square currently has an exhibition of human-sized bear statues with a theme of universal tolerance. A variety of streets branch away from this location to many interesting places. Well worth a visit.

My first impression of Havanna was this place has stood still since the 1950 , no bright shop fronts , vintage cars that do their owners proud , old crumbling buildings, but I could sense a change of optimism that things are going to change in the future, horse drawn cartridges and taxis are plentiful, enjoy a stoll round the... It's on until March 2, 2015, and was the highlight for us here. Bears are from all over the world, and are a great photo opportunity. Square is very bustling and full of energy during this period.

Easy for cabs to pickup and set down. Close to the water...many good food outlets, a bank, and better hotels, not to forget the church and other tourist attractions.

Enjoyed walking through the plaza, and down local narrow streets. Statue of Fr. Junipero Serra stands outside of plaza adjacent to church.

You can go to the very top of the Cathedral for a very beautiful overview of Old Havana. It's free of charge but take your courage with you as the stairs are very old.

Great place on a walking tour of the important squares in Havana. Beautiful. Watch for the dancers on stilts. Good restaurants and great for people watching. $1 CUC to take photos of the "characters" posing in the square.

This is a MUST go to spot when I am in Havana. I've been here over 10 times and it never ceases to amaze me. My kids love it because they get to run around, and best of all, feed the pigeons..... Its a great photo opp and the kids absolutely love that the birds come up and eat at... More

Restaurants, hotels, offices, churches-great area to walk in and take photos, both day and night. Its right across from the water, and there are sometimes concerts in the square at night.
