It's a really nice square, if you are looking at the church on the right hand side there is a nice restaurant. It's a lot quieter in this square than the others, so good to have a bit of a relax.

Nice spot for a bit of a rest away from the busy happenings of Havana - almost. Not much people around here, and depending on what time of the day you go, a nice breeze comes through as it is close to the water.

Very beautifull Place. No traffic. Quiet. Extremely well kept or renovated buildings dating hundreds of years. The statue of San Francisco with the boy is a chef-d'oeuvre. Very good restaurants in the area. For really low prices, good meals and wonderfull atmosphere, try the small restaurant aside from Gardens of Orient, it has the same chef as the reknowned big... The square is bustling with tourists and dominated by some stunning buildings. The Mother Theresa gardens are a lovely oasis in amazing Havana.

This is a fancy part with decent sidewalks, a plaza an church and a umber of very lovely and tasty restaurants. Old car taxis are plentiful.

This should be one of your first stops in La Habana Vieja. If you go late in the afternoon, go inside and ask about the week's concert schedule. Often they are posted on the door. This is an extraordinary venue for menus. But...one word of caution....when in the Square...watch out for the pigeons!

Unfortunately this area is decaying and the beautiful building is not maintained. There were, however, many Cubans who were more than anxious to speak with us. My Spanish is limited, but many Cubans could speak passable English.

This was a jewel, from shops, great bars, art, churches and the atmosphere that summed up Havana. Aim for this place

This is where we commenced the start of our tour of the Old Town Havana. A beautiful square with really interesting architecture, rambling little side streets lead off the square, and there are small street cafes, and bars to keep you refreshed. This was my favourite area in Havana, and I would have loved more time to chill out in... More
