The Cathedral Square is a nice starter to know Old Havana. All the streets that start there could be a very nice path full of discoveries. Try a Mojito at "Bodeguita del Medio" or have lunch at the "Dona Eutimia" (reservation in advance is probably needed).

The cathedral in beautifully weathered and well preserved. I could spend hours taking in all of detailing that went into it's construction. The entire plaza is surrounded by wonderful buildings a must visit.

This small Plaza's main feature is obviously the cathedral. Quite small but really beautiful. We almost missed it...make sure you don't!!

This Plaza is surrounded by beautiful palacios that were later turned into official (like the postal services) and less official buildings (like the original "Havana Club" rum factory, now a colonial museum). Do visit the very original art gallery, in an old bath house from the 16th century. They have very nice things for sale, at believable prices.

Our B&B was right around the corner from this beautiful square, so we were here often for drinks, a meal, people-watching... Photogenic too!!

Great way to really appreciate Old Havana is to come here and walk around the Square. Restaurants and Cafe's are abundant and Book Sellers and Antiques are available almost everyday here. The Square is amazing and you need a few Dollars or CUC as the urge to purchase something must be Scratched.

A very pictoresque square with a nice terrace (often with live music), some museums and beautiful buildings. Lots of restaurants and paladars nearby

A magnificiently restored Plaza. Fascinating in it's history, architecture and setting. Take your time and really soak in all that surrounds you. We're so glad we were fortunate enough to be on a tour lead by an architect that works on the restoration of this area. It truly added a lot to our understanding.

One of the best sites in all of Cuba! The fact they were able to make this hundreds of years ago just adds to the awsomeness of this remarkable building.

Liked the walk around area...places to eat. We went here last on our day in Havana...and wished we could have stayed a little longer...
