One of the nicest beaches in Cuba - much nicer than Varadero. Sand is soft and water is warm and shallow. We stayed at a hotel near by so no issues with bathroom and getting rid of salt and sand. However, if you are from out of town, that would be a concern for sure.

We spent all day here. It costed$30 from Havana in one of 1950's convertible. Totally worth it. This Beach is very clean and there was live salsa music. What's not to live about that. The hotel in the area is quiet broken so stay and eat on the beach was perfectly safe.

Probably the best experience that any one can have. I visited several beaches around the world but no one have the beauty of cuban ones. The soft sand, the water always green blue. Its a nature gift. There are some improvement regarding washrooms and some water to remove the salt but still need to get better. Food its easy to... More

Playas de Este is a fabulous easy trip from outside of Havana to enjoy the beach and completely relax. The beaches are beautiful and it's so easy to get there.

I was visiting Havana for the weekend and wanted to see a Cuban beach. It is a 30 min ride from Havana and worth it if you have limited time and want to sink your feet into Cuban sand!

My family of five had a great day at the beach. We hopped on a T3 bus, and we're delighted to find there was an English speaking guide on board. It cost 5CUC each, and my 8 year old daughter was free. There were 3 possible stops and we got off at the last one.. The beach is beyond belief... More

The beach is very nice. It's a nice daytrip/half daytrip to get away from all the noice in Havana city. Unfortunately, it was really windy when we went, so we were not allowed to swim. A minus is that there is no toilet at the beach (you can ask the hotel close by, but the toilet is usually only for... More

First thing it's nice. Nice beach is maybe not a rare thing in Cuba but it always worth to underline this fact. Secondly it's cheap: casas in the peak of season costs 20-30 CUC, you can easily find places to pay in CUP Thirdly: it is close to Havana. You will go 50 min from Havana Main station to Guanabo... If you want to take a break from intense Havana try a day trip to the beach. It is fully Caribbean. The only problem is the lack of good restaurants and service is generally mediocre. Otherwise water activities are great!
