We actually booked a full Day tour with the Tour Operator which incorporated the Marina and have to admit this is the best value for money, it was listed as the Ernest Hemmingsway Tour. We went everywhere that was connected to Him including his residence, eating places, his boat(still stored in the grounds of the house) and where he wrote... More

I remember when the Marina used to be an amazing place to go to. Now it's destroyed. You can still come and have fun inside. There are many gorgeous boats and hotels. There used to be many pools, I don't know if they still exist but you can go to the end of the 4th canal and swim there. They... More

If you're in Havana and need to have a quick swim this is the place to get to. Grab a taxi and head to the Ernest Hemingway Marina in La Playa area of Havana and enjoy yourself swimming in the Marina. If you are looking for a beach, there is none here but there is swimming and beer, booze, and... More

Yachts, channels, beautiful marina and surroundings. Great for pictures and to experience the historic riches of the city.

On a corner in the middle of a little village, we entered to find a sweet man playing and the table and chair roped off where Hamming way sat! Lots of photos fill the walls and tales of the great man himself. We enjoyed a cool beer here and chilled out to the sound of the waves and music. Very,... More

The old man and the sea hotel is closed and the fountain empty except for the statue of an old man and a fist. The marina is run down, tired, and reminiscent of Russian buildings. A definite PASS on this marina.

We took a special trip to go to the marina from Old Town Havana to try and get great fishing. The whole marina seemed "out to lunch" in every sense. We did eventually get sorted out with a possible fishing boat but the Captain was so disinterested we felt there wasn't any point going, plus it could be dangerous as... More

we were driving 100 foot motor Sailer during the tail end of hurricane Sandy so you could say it was a case of any port in a storm. There were a few boats in the Marina when we arrived and after clearing official formalities as well as being sniffed over by the cocker spaniel drug detector retied up. I have... More

I took part in the Ernest Hemingway billfishing tournament and it was just amazing for my friends and I to enjoy the facilities of the hemingway marina in these five days. It was cloudy the last day, though, but we had the opportunity to caught some marlins of more than forty pounds. I indeed recommend it for fishers. George
