Keep it for a rainny day...

Nice to see but can be saved for a rainny day. Great restaurant and shopping on site but away from any Cuban local feel.

The best way to visit the Marina Hemmingway is certainly by yacht but you can reach this by car in about 30 minutes from central Havana. There is a Hotel and several restaurants and a few shops. The drive from Havana takes you through "Embassy Row" and the chance to see many Embassies mostly in beautiful older buildings. The Russian... More

While the harbor is quite lovely, the pier was washed away in a hurricane and Pilar resides at his home. The bar where he drank is still open and full of Hemingway photographs done a popular photographer from that time who photographed many important people. We enjoyed a frozen daiquiri on a very hot day and enjoyed it along with... More

the front desk couldn't of cared a less. get your tour operator to get what you need (eg. a room with hot water, air conditioner etc). The front desk won't even try to speak english with you. The bus driver and masseuse were great. the food was average. The shows were funny

We sailed into the marina and were met with customs and they were overly friendly and helpful. Even though we went through customs at San Antonio marina on the western tip. ( Don't go there!!! There is NOTHING there). Getting back to the marina, which is the closest to Havana, we were given a berth and the hook up went... More

The Marina, well its a marina. It has changed since the early days of tourism in Cuba. It still does accommodate residences, a couple of restaurants and convenience stores and a pool. It mostly caters to the residents and boating visitors through the marina including fishing tournaments or repair stop in from in transit boats. It is a nice place... More

We actually booked a full Day tour with the Tour Operator which incorporated the Marina and have to admit this is the best value for money, it was listed as the Ernest Hemmingsway Tour. We went everywhere that was connected to Him including his residence, eating places, his boat(still stored in the grounds of the house) and where he wrote... More

I remember when the Marina used to be an amazing place to go to. Now it's destroyed. You can still come and have fun inside. There are many gorgeous boats and hotels. There used to be many pools, I don't know if they still exist but you can go to the end of the 4th canal and swim there. They... More
