We visited the bar on a day trip from Cayo CoCo and we really enjoyed the atmosphere . Sorry we didn't have time to stay longer because the coach was waiting outside but the Strawberry Daiquiri's are the best in the world. If you are on a day trip make sure you are the first at the bar as it... More

myself and 3 friends went there, sure it's a tourist things, another "Hemingway" thing, reminds me of " Washington slept here' but we had fun, food was OK, music was good except for the donation expectation at the end of the set. Only go upstairs, downstairs was a real zoo....

for tourists only. The myth, not the place is of interest. The signatures are not from the 50s, the food is mediocre. It is crowded and there are better mojitos almost anywhere. Sorry to bust the allure. But take your pictures and leave. If you insist on eating go up to the roof patio.

It's a nice place with a great atmosphere and good Mojito. There is also live music ! Well basically like in a most Cuban bars but since this one was Hemingway's favorite one... It's worth to pop in!

Went here for lunch with my tour group. Food was plentiful but very cramped in the restaurant. The obligatory writing on every space of the walls, chairs and tables. Maybe not for everyone but an experience. The peace was shattered by a local Cuban group and after a week of this we were used to the sale of CD's after... More

One of the biggest tourist traps in all of Cuba. Posers trying to capture the essence of a larger than life character while sipping over-priced, substandard drinks at 10 in the morning. Have a 5 minute gawk through the window and enjoy a well-made mojito down the road for 1/2 the money:-) Nada auténtica aquí.

Worth a walk by or stop if you are interested in the association with Hemingway but avoid if you can't handle throngs of tourists. I went there twice. Once by myself on a Wed. night around 6 or 7pm, got a seat at the bar and nursed one Mojito. It was ok but not the best in Havana (that would... More

The Bodeguita del Medio is a must see for anyone visiting Havanna. Cute little bar with great live music and a lot of tradition. It is fun watching the bar man make 20 mojitos at a time. Unfortunately, the mojitos are only average and they are definitely the most expensive I have had in Havanna (5 CUC vs. 2-3 CUC... More
