If you' re looking for the sense that the writer felt than it is a good place but i think that it is a little bit exagerated by Ernest hemingway. You Will see the handwriting of hemingway when you drink mojito. The drink is fine but not the best in cuba. Also the price is most expensive.

Nothing special, not even the drinks. Just go there, have a quick walk inside and then leave. If you find music it's better.

This is interesting to visit but due to its reputation was always extremely busy - my advice, go and have a look and then get a mojito in one of the many other excellent establishments close by - I didn't find anywhere in Cuba which made a dud mojito!

Walking along the Malecon and discovered this awesome place. Later back the best mojitos ever and genuine Cuban cigars. Great place to just chill and watch the world go by. Love the art as well 👍👍

We hired a local guide on the Internet and he confirmed for us that this was indeed a "tourist trap". He said the food was substandard and the drinks pricey. We didn't eat there but we did go back for drinks two nights in a row. Drinks are pricier there than other places in Old Town but you cannot put... More

A day and night stop. If you're tired from walking and feel thirsty, a Mojito or three with some Cuban music might refreshen you. If you feel like spending few hours and especially when you double and triple the mojitos, you'll certainly be ready to stay longer and all of a sudden you become a salsa expert. You don't need... Read before you go, so you can feel part of the place. The manager is great but the staff not so much. The place is always full and the bar is great but tiny. The food is average... But if you read and try to look back, you will find its charm. DONT EXPECT: the best Cuban food, nor the... More

Apparently where Hemingway enjoyed his mojitos when in Havana, this small old bar is a must see for all tourists. First stop to savour a mojito while enjoying some live local music before embarking in a exploration of old Havana. You will not regret it!!
