This restaurant is very popular and the bar at groundfloor is always full. But going inside and stepping to other floors you find a very nice Cuban restaurant where is quite large band who will play typicall local music. Food is not extremly good but the atmosphere is great.

A small bar with large restaurant upstairs. Great Mojitos and wide choice of rums.. Lunch menu was typical and good. Live music was fun

We ate Sunday lunch here. The pulled beef was tough, but the pork loin was tender. We were also served fried potatoes, and a small amount of shredded cabbage and carrots with thinly sliced cucumbers (with no dressing). I could have eaten all the salad all by myself!

This standing room only Pub houses a full Cuban band. Visitors and locals alike party and dance all night long. Souvenirs shops and pedicabs are just out to door on this little side street around the corner from the Plaza de la Cathedral. Everyone was friendly and welcoming and spirits are high.

Included as part of the Historic City walking tour, allegedly because Ernest Hemingway drank his mojitos here and then proceeded to El Floridita for a daiquiri (or three). The place is tiny, over crowded and usually has a band playing which makes it impossible to stand around, let alone sit. The mojito was disgusting. I've tried way better. Save yourself... More

As part of a tour the La Bodeguita del Medio was pointed out and mentioned to be a birthplace of the Mojito. It would've been great to have a drink here despite it being 'expensive' - just compare to your home country and $6 is still half price! But it was very crowded and could not get in. The music... The festival atmosphere and delightful choices let you go beyond the usual souvenirs, making this a must-stop while in Havana. Basically it's a permanent arts, crafts, and kitsch fair in a large warehouse space on the water. T-shirts, handicrafts and fine art are densely packed together. There will be highly talented original works, but buyer beware, some items are misrepresented.... More

We just dropped in for a quick drink during our old car tour, but it was so crowded just one of us went in and brought the drinks out. Great ambience. Need more time to experience the experience.

Good food with a lot of ambiance. A lot of tourist go here but it does not take anything away from having a great experience.

There are plenty of reviews on here saying this is 'touristy' or a tourist trap. Guess what? We're all tourists, whether there is one of you in the bar or 10. There are some places you have to visit once, and this is one of them. Who cares if there are a few tourists there? We're all there to see... More
