This is a tiny little bar where Hemmingway used to drink his mojitos. There's live music, lots of people, great atmosphere and great mojitos. It's very touristy but definitely worth the visit. If you can manage to squeeze some seats at the bar, you will definitely enjoy it.

Ernest Hemingway said: "my mojito in La Bodeguita and my daikiri in La Floridita", and I did it. The La Bodeguita del Medio is a very cuban pub, with a splendit band playing cuban music while you try the 'mojito', as suggested Hemingway. Very nice.

Visited with three friends last week. We intended just going for the mojitos but we were enjoying the vibe so stayed for a late lunch upstairs. The food was actually very good, unusual in most of Havana, tasty and well prepared and cooked. The live band were awesome and we ended up staying for a few hours (and a few... More

We were referred here by someone at our hotel during our stay in Cuba at the Melia Las Antillas and im so thankful. The food was amazing we had the lobster dinner which included a mojito, rice and beans, lobster & shrimp, fried bananas, garlic bread and salad. Our meal was great and the staff was very friendly and inviting.

If you go early you will be able to take in the atmosphere of this famous bar and restaurant without the hustle of lots of fellow tourists. Room around the bar to see and partake of the line of Mojitos and time to read the walls !! Even if you are not dining it's worth a look at the restaurant... More

I first visited La Bodeguita del Medio (Hemingway's home of the Mojito) over fifteen years ago and even then it was a popular destination for tourists. Now, however, it has become a regular stop for large groups of tourists on the accompanied tours of Havana. Both the ambience and the quality of the mojitos have diminished as troops of tourists... Although it can get very crowded, I loved the atmosphere inside the bodeguita especially when one of the live bands was playing. It's a great place to make new friends and soak up the atmosphere. I returned a couple of times and ended up enjoying a good Cuban cigar ( even though I stopped smoking a long time ago) and... More

While in Cuba, this is the biggest MUST DO. The best mojito I ever had and the vibration of the place made the experience even better. While there, make sure you entry on your left. There are plenty of tables in the back, but the front of the bar is alway crowded. We had lunch there too. It was really... More

We visited the bar at the front. This is very small, with 8 bar stools, room for a band and not much else. We arrived as it was opening and so secured two bar stools which we occupied for several hours while a superb 4 piece “Son” band (Sol y Son) played. The Mojitos were good, although not the cheapest... More

Being a tourist trap, the drinks are overpriced at 5 CUC for a mojito. The bar area is is tiny, but the feel is more personal and intimate than at El Floridita, Bodeguita has an excellent atmosphere, with a three piece band playing and singing loudly a foot or two away from you. Hemingway's other favorite watering hole in Havana.... More
