Well worth stopping in to spend some time at Pilar. Warm shallow water for miles. Visit soon before the monstrosity of a resort next door opens and spoils the ambiance of this remote gem!

The beach was what I had expected based on the reviews I have read. The beach is beautful and wasn't far from our resort (Iberostar Daiquiri). We paid $10 pesos (each) for a return ticket on the bus that travels to all the resorts. Paid $2 for each lounger at the beach. There is a resort under construction, but not... More

We visited Pilar beace on the advice of our travel agent and I'm so glad we did! I believe this beach is rated in the worlds top 3 and understandably so! The different blues and turquoise colors of the water as far as the eye can see is absolutely breathtaking. We were there the end of February and the water... More

My husband and I went on a half day excursion to Pilar beach, and it was worth it. The sand is so soft, it's almost like powder. The water is the prettiest blue I ever saw, and so nice and warm too. The day we were there it was hot, so if you go bring a hat, and some good... More

Enjoy a day at Pilar Beach. 5 pesos return each to a spectacular, white sand pristine beach. The bus stops for pick ups and drop offs at each resort along the way so it takes a while to get there but well worth it. Enjoy the sun and sand or take a boat ride to the 'island'. There is a... More

Pristine beach! The finest, powdery sand I've ever seen. It was like icing sugar on your skin! Not a pebble, coral or stone anywhere. Very well groomed beach.

Beautiful beach , warm clear water with lots of starfish visible. Quick speedboat ride to coral reef just offshore. Good, clean facilities, equipment hire, restaurant and bar.
