This beach will stop you in your tracks. You might ask yourself if you are dreaming especially in February if you are an East Coaster Canadian lol. The beach has beautiful sand even in the waters when there is a nice wind dive into those waves .It is very refreshing in the hot sun. There is a little restaurant/bar that offer... More

Last year my boyfriend and i went to Cayo Coco. After a few days we decided to go on an excursion which consisted of snorkeling and visiting Playa Pilar. Very glad we did this because this beach was unbelievable. It looked like you have arrived in some other world so isolated and so so clear and blue. a MUST SEE!

We went to Playa Pilar on the Catamaran tour, so we didn't venture onto the actual beach, although many from our group did. However, the water was wonderful! Very soft white sand and shallow waters with tiny fish all around. Absolutely gorgeous!

We visited pilar for a day on our recent stay in Cayo Coco... It was beautiful! I highly recommend visiting if you're in the area. The sand is like flour and theres not a piece of coral to be found. We saw a few star fish and other fish swimming at our feet. Theres a small bar/resteraunt near the beach... More

This is "the" nicest beach in Cuba. Not too expensive for a day (approx 35 pesos per adult) and included a meal and a drink, and a chair coupon, bring a towel from your resort and toilet paper (there are girls counting squares of toilet paper at the bathroom doors. Bring lots of bottled water, and something to snack or... More

45 minute drive, 40 minute wait in line for a beer and the beach at my hotel was just as nice. Meh. The bus was packed and we took a cab back to our hotel which was the best part of our excursion. Save yourself the time unless the beach at your hotel is bad.

A little unkept but beautiful nonetheless. The sand on the beach was almost like flour - it was so fine and soft. No need for water shoes at this beach. Unfortunately we went on a windy and cloudy day. It was an 1hr 45 min ride on a double decker bus. We rode on top, it was fun.

We just took the hop on hop off bus from our resort. The beach was breath taking, soft white sand and crystal clear water. But if you dont go as part of an excursion there is nothing to do but swim/sunbathe. its not super big so not much to explore. Worth seeing if you just want to lounge but if... More
